  1. I've begun the process of unleashing the various videos after capturing them using the DosBox 0.70 program. Below are the YouTube locations of the videos, and brief descriptions. Might and Magic 3 - Recommended veteran character creation Swords of Xeen - Recommended character creation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZvCaZWQVjU Worlds of Xeen - Darkside of Xeen intro cutscene I'm currently encoding a LONG video of my completion of Swords of Xeen with an old group of characters. I'll see if I can post that to Stage6 since YouTube has a limit of 10 minutes, and the video almost hit the 30 minute mark.
  2. For future reference by others, I thought I'd post the special damages I've been capturing thus far in Sacred. Soul Damage Divine Damage Open Wounds Orla Aisling Charged Bolts Sakkara Demon - 'Ice Sculpture'(Ice Damage)
  3. I was able to capture the Might and Magic: Worlds of Xeen intro. I appreciate your comments thus far. Right now, I'm researching the most effective way to achieve my goal of getting the videos posted with as much attention as possible. I don't see much need beyond Stage6 and YouTube for posting the videos. The MySpace idea is just to attract the younger people into playing these older DOS based games.
  4. Nice video showing how effective it can be to run thru specific areas. Would other caves in the desert work as well as this one?
  5. Oh McFly? Your shoe's untied. - Back to the Future(not sure I got the punctuation correct).
  6. Rostiger Roerhenpilz! - May have missed the spelling there.
  7. They are heee-eere! - Poltergeist: The Movie.
  8. Just got done helping Sylph obtain a Prototype Sword with my level 21 Dark Elf. I'd prefer this character to play since I seem to have a habit of killing characters off with valuable equipment.
  9. I appreciate the comments. Now another question is how to compress the videos. I'm guessing you mean either WinZip or WinRAR, but I wanted to make sure. The project won't happen immediately, but it will begin within the next few weeks.
  10. I know there's another Poltergeist line when loading, I just can't remember it exactly. I am fairly sure it's: They're HERE!!
  11. I appreciate the tips. I've tried several ships including the Blind Fire ones, and have yet to pass the mission. I've been able to disable the shield generators and take out the engines. It's what usually happens after that is where I lose the carrier. I use Screamers to take out the shield generator, so perhaps I should try that on the engines too. It's difficult to be quick here, which seems to be the ONLY way to get thru the mission without either losing your carrier or letting the Krasnaja escape.
  12. I'm sorry to hear about your lost character. I look at my multiple Hardcore character deaths as an opportunity to improve the build. Some times things outside of your control will cause you to die as well. I try not to get discouraged, and look at different ways I can postpone character deaths as long as possible. P.S. - I definitely believe you just created a good post. Nice job!
  13. Schot, I'm gathering information on my upcoming project to post old Might and Magic videos. I was curious if you believed that Stage6 is the best way to popularize these videos. My overall goal is to get as many people as possible interested in playing Might and Magic again, but was wondering if YouTube would be the best way to achieve my goal. I'm also debating on creating a MySpace page just for the sole purpose of marketing the M&M games to the younger generation. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.
  14. I saw the movie a few weeks ago, and it's somewhat accurate to history. A number of things are changed and sensationalized, but I honestly felt the movie was well worth seeing. Historical battles that are remembered usually have some element of tactical education in them. For this movie, the lesson is to take advantage of your natural defenses as much as possible.
  15. I tried this game and gave up after the 'warp gate attack' by one of the capital ships. If I took too long, my home ship would get torpedoed and if I was too aggressive in taking down the ship I'd usually die in the process. Even on Easy mode, this particular mission was too frustrating for me. I may try it again if somebody can provide a good strategy to get by the mission.
  16. I'll definitely try the Dryad first. I always play a ranged build first since many action-oriented RPGs have hidden penalties for playing melee fighters(Diablo2 being the prime example). The Temple Guardian sounds interesting, so I'll play him second and do the Seraphim third.
  17. Nice idea in getting the best 'bang for buck' from Explosive Arrow. I'll never try a build oriented around just one CA, though. Too boring in my opinion, and I'd rather use as many of my CAs as possible.
  18. I got into Starcraft's story far more than Warcraft's. The cliched story line of WC3 turned me off. I KNEW what was coming way before it happened. Hopefully, they will eliminate the predictable writing and come up with another classic story line. I disliked the Brood War story line, mainly because it was too much of a turn-off with the Zerg coming out on top at the end.
  19. Maybe it's just me, but it seemed like Knockback Arrow never works. I'd trigger the CA, attack a monster and it does not get affected. Perhaps it's like Transformation. Expect some humorous screen shots on my next run thru. I'm gonna try to get a picture of the 'Dragon Dance' by attacking D'Cay with Spider Arrow. For amusement, I'm going to see if I can Transform the starter bosses at the beginning of Silver. If I can, I'll post those shots as well.
  20. Thanks for the edit of the pictures, gogo. I figured out how to resize Photobucket images, so the inadvertent bad effect to the forum layout won't happen again. P.S. - For the four sockets in the bow, I'll be aiming for +critical hit rings. This will increase bow and spell damage, making the character even more deadly to monsters. My next run thru of Underworld is going to be my gunner Dwarf. I found a unique musket with another Dwarf build as well as one of the gun set items. It should be interesting and fun!
  21. Thanks for this list, gogo! Sacred Monster Resistance Tables It will definitely be helpful on my Blizzard set build run thru Silver. I still have a few builds to play before continuing in Silver with that set build.
  22. Huh, huh? He said loading... I think the above message is from Beavis and Butthead. They go hehehe a lot, and one of them says the part in the second line. Are you the Blue Fairy? The above line definitely occurs in the A.I. movie, but it's also in Pinocchio(sp?). I know one other message is: Checking user I.Q.
  23. I've attached the newer full screen shots, from gogoblender's recommendation of Photobucket. No more going into MS Paint to cut off stuff. Enjoy!
