Download character 14. Say hello 1. Introduction I warmly welcome you in introduction of my new Temple Guardian Lost Fusion build - Mechanix Omega-TX - "Ancaria´s Mysterious Wanderer". Lets look at his backround: When I created my first Mechanix T-100 build (Fallen Angel), I learned first basic and advancement experience with TG and LF aspect and build perfect base for next gaming and testing - niob shopper, smither and loot finder. Yes, that was excellent time with Deathblow and +skills:-) Next I created enhanced version Mechanix X-E (Ice&Blood). This guy introduced for all of us one great and amazing power - working Damage Lore skill for his Combat Arts. Anyway, I tested some new powers and combinations, collect some new nice loot and start thinking about new build. After releasing an awesome Community patch I quickly decided - this is a battlefield, where I will utilize all of my experience and imagination and create (for me) the most tune Lost Fusion build. And there he is! What is it all about? It is not about mitigation immortality, overpowered CAs, or about some kind of powergaming. You are unable to stay against Eye and feel safe, you are unable to smoke cigarette with Phoenix or play chess with Guardians. But you are able to choose different ways how to beat all of them, feel the power of epic fights, using cunning tricks and during all of those actions you can say "damn, this robot looks pretty good and works like well-served clocks". This is why "Ancaria´s Mysterious Wanderer" - you wander like pilgrim around Ancaria, explore secrets of this amazing world and you are ready to deal with every danger you encounter. So again, what is it all about? It is all about gameplay style! Lets plunge into character mechanics. ("hey vaclaf, I have got something for you .. do you see this little cyborg? He is all yours, so configure him as you wish and enjoy your new friend:-) (stop saying nonsenses, its only game:-)) note: * this build needs at least average to experience gameplay mechanics knowledge and niob smith/shop support. It is designed for niob playing and our goal is reach character level 123 (seven masteries and able to use lvl150 toons), when all important puzzle parts are completed and fits to flawless build picture. 2. Character creation .. progress Temple Guardian .. ok Campaign .. shadow God .. Testa Expert Touch .. pick Difficulty .. silver Mode .. softcore Carrier Imp .. blue Name .. Mechanix Omega-TX Character cretion .. complete notes for character cretion: * Campaign: I tried both campign, light and shadow, and I have to say: Shadow campaign is much more boring than light. You visit less interesting location, solve less (and boring) quests, campaign is shorter and you are unable to destroy large T-Egg at the end of game. So I recommend pick light campign. * God: Testa fits into Temple Guardians flavor and I like it. For effect, you can use this power during game, it is effective even in niob. Just one think which I tried: JT doesnt regenerate Gods powers:-) * Expert Touch: I definitely say YES for Expert Touch. You receive base -33% regen. time bonus and you are not limited in using your CAs. * Difficulty .. start silver, reach lvl5, shop for some items with sockets, use your shared stash and niob smither and run for level 25 like lightning. * Mode: well, this can be interesting. I choose principialy softcore, because, hmm.. hardcore death is absolutely clear example of wasting my life-time. For me, It brings nothing like "improving game experience and enjoying", but this decision is only about player. On the other side, this build is designed for great survival ability and with good gameplay skill, you can easily pick hardcore. * Imp: Imp? Use your Imp. Pimp? :-) * Name: "In the name of all Mechanix, lets unite together!" Tips for starting character: If you dont have some SP utility character, log on closed net EU Hardcore lobby, create a TG lvl5 with Bargaining skill and ask somebody from D.a.r.k. clan about helping bring your char to niob difficulty (they are very helpful good players). Then export this character in single player and enjoy niob shopping and smith arts for your SP toons:-) It can helps a lot. 3. Attributes Three of six attributes interests us. Which and why? Stamina - decrease regen. time of all CAs. 50 points to lvl50, than 50 points from lvl100 to lvl125. Totally 100 points. I have a feeling that all Sacred games are about CAs level/regen. time alchemy, so enjoy your mixture :-) Intelligence - increase CAs damage and spell intensity. 50 points from lvl50 to lvl100. Willpower - increase Shield energy and spell resistance, decrease DoT effects. 50 points from lvl50 to lvl100, than all points above lvl125. Willpower is great universal defensive attribute. Note for attributes: * in order of importance attributes are Stamina, Willpower and than Intelligence. Dont forget, we increase attributes base value, which are further increased by % from survival bonus. So DONT DIE! 4. Skills I picked and mastered skills in order of importance, due to receiving modification points and in dependence on game progress. In fact, some skills become useful until after mastering them, so imagine it like breakpoint 1 point/75points (hard). You are able to master skill at those lvls: 3skill at lvl75, then at 78, 93, 108 and 123 - totally 7 mastered skills. Put points only into skill which you want master, dont disperse your focus. All has its own time. level 2: Armor Lore (1 hard point) is our opening skill. Increase your armor value, decrease regen. penalty from gear and allows you to use higher level armor pieces. It is skill which can be increased by uniqe relics and its importance grows with your level. Lets metal plate you cyborg. level 3: Lost Fusion Lore (Mastery at level 75) makes your mechanical arm really deadly and you receive modification points - cast your tricks fast and (furious) dangerous. level 5: Lost Fusion Focus (Mastery at level 93) .. hmm, Aspect Lore check, Aspect Focus check. Next.. Stop, note: After you mastery this skill, you can start read CAs runes for AD and JT and max pump FE and AB. Just keep good regen. times. And enjoy your next modification points. level 8: Combat Discipline (Mastery at level 75) is great improvement for all of your CAs - increase damage by% and in combo decrease regen time by 10% (20%). You can put single CA into combo for regen. benefit. level 12: Devout Guardian Focus (put 32 hard points due to modification points, stop it and then Mastery at level 78) is you key for crucial second aspect. Allows you to modify and pump all important CAs: T-Energy Shield, Deathly Spears and Combat Alert. level 18: Warding Energy Lore (Mastery at level 75) is your source of Energy shield power. And without shield you are only poor construction with dog´s ears:-) WEL among others unlock and increase value of +Energy shield power and +Absorption warding energy. level 25: Tactics Lore (5 hard points) unlock Damage Lore and increase damage of DS and Derogate modification. Its nice for this build. level 35: Damage Lore (Mastery at level 108) is my pressure, my, my pressure sss:-) I love how amazing synergy this skill has with all TG CAs. Once again, I will create a section only for this skill. level 50: Toughness (Mastery at level 123) is in my opinion the best passive protection skill. Increase your base armor value againts all damage types and gives you all channel damage mitigation. After masterying this skill you receive a huge bonus to your protection and you are ready to beat all challenges. And this skill can be increased by uniqe relics. level 65: I was thinking abou this skill decision for a long time and kept it blank until level 125. I really would like to pick Ancient Magic or Alchemy, but I understand - those two skills doesnt fit into TG design. Source Warden aspect is forbidden - there is no benefit for this build (and creating three aspects hybrid needs much more changes, only picking skill is not enough - you have to change some modifications, skills, gameplay etc..). Again, I was thinking about Enhanced Perception, but without mastery? Very small benefit, and in fact, now I dont need creating next loot finder. Hafted weapon for Tinworas Curse/Arm Gun .. small benefit useful only in specific situation. Speed Lore spare me one socket place via +run speed bonus..hmm. Riding is very style skill, but I dont use Mobiculum. So I socket my gear with tons of +all CAs and pick Concentration - its useful, decrease regen time and allows me to memorize more runes. 5. Combat Arts This build uses seven different Combat Arts from two Aspects: Devout Guardian and Lost Fusion. Totaly you need 8 modification points for DG and 12 modification points for LF. During my gameplay experience I tried different combinations of modification and tuned them for best build result. My goal was creating a very different and tricky CAs for all combat situation, avoiding stereotyp of using one or two CAs all gametime. I want to make very dynamic and enjoying gameplay. I will explain which and why modification, show possibly changes and describe different gameplay situation. Devout Guardian T-Energy Shroud aka Blue T-Egg T-Shield is your main protective utility. Its base Absorpting warding energy is 60% - it means 60% of inflicted damage (after all armor, resist, mitigation calculations) goes to your shiled value, rest downs your hitpoints. This value can be increased by item modifier. Value of your shield starts rapidly increasing after mastering WEL skill and socketing some amulets with +shield power modifier. Be very careful when you shield goes down, you lost your best protection and TG has a lack of hitpoints - run away from death or quick active one or more JTs. For activating T-Egg use "buff gear". Synergies and notes: * WEL, Tactics, CD, DL, DGF and Concentration skills * Willpower, CA level, + Shield power modifier, * T-Egg gives you Shield, CA´s Reflection and all channel mitigation * Derogate + DL skill is perfect "permanent weakness aura" Modifications (use 4th, 5th and 6th modification point): * Power - increase Shield value by 40%. Good choice for low level character, through Silver or Gold. For long time playing character this modifier become useless - can be simple replaced by amulet with + Shield energy modifier. * Derogate - Shield inflict magic damage aroud you in melee range. This damage is not much great, but with Damage Lore skill you create a very effective weakness aura around you. * Recharge - allows your shield recharge during combat. Useful modification for low level character, makes your shield permanent. But at higher level value of in-combat regeneration is very small and can be incresed only by Tactics Lore. * Reduction - active all channel damage mitigation in your shield. Best for platinum and niob playing. Highly recommended if you plan to play high level char. * Reflection - % chance to reflect CAs. Must have mod. I choose for my character Derogate * Reduction * Reflection. If you play only go through Silver, max. Gold and enjoying your shield, pick Power * Recharge * Power. Deathly Spears aka Fiery Penetrator DS in combo with JT is you main melee killing power. With it you are able slice and dice your enemies, cut through them like cheese and it is your perfect boss killer combo. Burn them, pierce them all in neverending torturing waves. Muhaha:-) Synergies and notes: * Tactics, DGF, DL, CD, Concentration skills * Intelligence and Casting speed * additional waves - Jab, CA level 18, 42, 60, 80 etc. * every CA´s level above penalty level decrease casting speed by 1% * Singe works perfect with DL skill Modifications (use 1st, 2nd and 3rd modification point): * Batter - knockback seems to be interesting protector, but not for this build. I tried knockback with my first build, but at higher level I had to catch enemies on battlefield like balls. And with more waves it was very annoying. * Gore - increase damage of DS when you HP goes down. Maybe nice, but in combo with JT (self-repair) totally useless. I pick Gore due to "no-knockback" decision. * Singe - Adds fire damage into spears. Perfect synergy with Damage Lore. Burn them, burn them all around you (and weak them via shield:-) * Occult - Adds magic damage into spears. Obviously useless (but nice modification). * Jab - Add and unlock additional waves at higher CA level. This is must have. * Wounding - another DoT from DS is only for real torture masters. Pick this mod if you are realy cruel character:-) I choose Gore * Singe * Jab. Maybe Batter can be useful for SW build like "protector" after starting Area of Effect killing, but this is question for experienced SW players. Combat Alert aka Arm Gun Artilery Combat Alert serves like support for your Arm Gun. Main goal is increasing attack value as much as possible. Additional you can use it like defense/melee reflection aura during tactical moving on battlefield. I decided to keep it as recastable semi-buff due to higher benefits and because I was planning play with only one buff. Every 25lvls of CA gives you 5seconds of duration. Synergies and notes: * Increase attack and damage for both equipped weapon and battery. * As a recastable buff it gives you a huge benefits. * You can memorize max 200 runes. Go for it. Modifications (use 7th and 8th modification point) * Assault - increase your attack value. Thats the reason of Combat Alert. * Barricade - increase your defense value. Can be better than assault - it depends on your own character design. In my opinion there are much better protective tricks than defense. * Riposte - well, perhaps melee reflection - its both protective and killing utility. * Repair - this hitpoints regen. modification seems to be weak for this build, but I think with some nice support like Constitution mastery can be very useful. * Permanent - after two builds with Permanent Battle Aura I can say: Avoid this modification if want to use your Arm Gun. * Party protection - perfect for online playing. I pick Assault and Riposte. Thats enough for my plans. Battle Extension aka Dual Claws Battle Extension is your supporting unmoded CA. You use it only in specific sitution, if you want fight melee against Boss. Just choose BE as your active CA slot and fight with left mouse - you receive passive Double Hit improvement. Check Fire Lord video in video gallery. Dancing Queen:-) Lost Fusion Amplifying Discharge aka Icy Bouncer Lets start with LF CAs describsion. First, this well designed tricky and protective ranged Canonballs. Momentum keeps a permanent distance between you and up to three enemies, while Ice Bullets slows them down (improves by Damage Lore) - it gives you a perfect time to shoot again from your safe position. Ordinary enemies you are able to kill with 2-3 shoots. I am always very satisfied with shooting this nice skulls and eyes in Blood Forest - it is really cracked billiard:-) Synergies and notes: * LFL, LFF, CD, DL, Concetration skills * You received 100% knockback (momentum) and 100% chance to hit three enemies (with one ricochet modification) at CA level 50. * Again, Ice damage and DL works flawlessly. * Learn the efficiency against different enemies. * Optimal regen. time in combo is 0.7s for casting speed 150%. Modifications (use 4th, 5th and 6th modification point) * Ice Bullet - adds Ice damage to every bullet. Perfect Improvement. * Richochet - allows you to hit another enemy and increase bounce chance. Perfect improvement. * Momentum - add chance of Knockback to every bullet. Perfect Improvement. * Speed Shot - increase regen. time of AD. Useless improvement:-) AD has three different and still very useful way of modify. * Ice Bullets / Ricochet / Ice Bullets gives you a greatest possible damage. You are able to hit up to three enemies with massive Ice damage. * Ricochet / Momemtum / Ice Bullets - this is my way. I like knockback trick and slow from ice damage. * Ricochet / Ricochet / Ice Bullets - smaller ice damage and no momentum trick, but you have 100% chance to hit four enemies. All of these three modifiy way has its own advantage and disadvantage, but You will always satisfied with every choosen combination. Furious Emblazer aka "Burning Torches" Flamethrower is your very powerful CA againts almost all mobs you face to. Learn how to use it - it is your main middle range killing power - move on battlefield, create large group on enemies, use your advantage from 150% run speed and start burning. Yeah, with mastery of DL this is devastating and very satisfying:-) Synergies and notes: * LFL, LFF, CD, DL, Concetration skills * Perfect with DL mastery * Optimal regen. time in combo is 2.0s with 150% casting speed Modifications (use 7th, 10th and 11th modification points) * Accelerant - increase damage by 33%. This is perfect, because incresing base damage increase possibly DoT. * Immoltion - increase chance to burn. This is contraproductive with DL skill. Avoid this modification. * Terror - chance to cause targets to run away is very annoying because you have to hound your enemies on battlefield. * Incapacitate - stuns them is much better:-) * Intensify - only change damage frequency from 1.3/sec to 2/sec. Useless * Burnout - works exactly like Deathblow modifier. Excellent choice. I modifiy FE with Accelerant * Incapacitate * Burnout. Jolting Touch aka The Electrifying Protector JT is you your main active protection CA and I really like it. Use it in combo with DS. With two active JTs you are almost in absolutely safe position. The most important part is how you modifiy it. Synergies and notes: * LFL, LFF, CD, DL, Concetration skills * Optimal regen. time in combo is 0.7s with 150% casting speed * You can spam JT much faster by hammering right mouse (even in combo). * Abilities of simultaneously active JTs stacks. * Rooting, slowing, weaking, mitigation, healing, melee reflecting, RpH and damaging - all in one Touch. Modifications (use 1st, 2nd and 3rd modification point) * Payback - massive chance of melee reflection when JT is active is perfect protective utility. * Life Leech - Life Leech every pulse is also perfect, this damage cannont be reduced, but its value grows up very slowly. * Self Repair - 5% total HP healing per pulse. Amazing. * Voltage - increase RpH every pusle - well, in my opinion it is useless because JT has this implement in its basic. * Shelter - massive all damage channel mitigation is perfect. * Flux - and incresing pulse frequency is also perfect. So what with all those amazing modification? It depends on your build decision. There are some interesting ways how to modify JT: * Payback / Self Repair / Shelter - it is absolutely protective JT and I like it so much. Best for very dangerous Bosses and areas with DoTs enemies (Spiders, Plants etc..) * Life Leech / Self Repair /Shelter - another way how to make (less) protective JT with improved damage. * Life Leech / Voltage / Flux - allows you to make the most damage powerful JT - not good againts mobs, but againts one tough enemy. Pump as many runes you can. * Life Leech/ Self Repair / Flux - Damage and Healing with astonishing frequency. As I say, there too much good way how to modify JT, so think about it in relevance of your another build decision. I pick first option. Archimedes Beam aka Master Blaster AD obtains one great improvement in CM patch. Instead of physical/magic damage now inflict magic/fire damage. And that is excellent improvement perfectly fit into this build and in my opinion even in AD design. So now AD become a much frequently using CA in different situations. Still be careful on long animation speed and bug, when you laser hit some obstacles or moving targets and stops dealing damage (very strange bug). For this CA is very important to learn in which combat situation is most effective. Synergies and notes: * LFL, LFF, CD, DL, Concetration skills * Optimal regen. time in combo is 2.5s with 150% casting speed * One laser inflict damage five times per cast. * You can shoot through group of enemies. Try target the most long-distance enemy. * Perfect synergy with DL mastery. Modifications (use 8th, 9th and 12th modification points) * Paralyze - decreasing target movement speed is very nice trick, perfect againts Bosses. * Bundle - Increasing magic damage is nice, but with fire (DoT) improvement not necessary. * Intent - there is never too much critical! Go for it:-) * Weaken - We have good chance for weak due to DL skill, so avoid this mod. * Shelter - Damage mitigation is very useful because AD has very long executing animation. * Annul - Debuff? Why not, but theres not much debuffable enemies. Different modification possibilities: * Paralyze / Intent / Shelter is very tricky combination and I vote for this. You slow, weak, burn and crit your enemy and still you are good protected. * Bundle / Intent / for best damage (without DL skill) * Paralyze / Weaken / Annul is very weak in damage, but very good in tricky way (again, without DL). I choose first possibility, it best fit to my build. Propelled Levitation aka Jetpack This TG´s flying ability seems to do nothing useful. And I think it seems right:-) but looks great and absolutely futuristics when you use it on Mobiculum. There isnt a flying direction restriction - you can fly upward, straight or down (from/up the hill, over obstacles, I.e.), but there is a distant restriction. Well, I was thinking how to use PL as funny aspect of game and put it into Combo DS+PL. Yeah, just trap some enemies to follow you on the bridge and then fly over their head and burn them with jetflames and spiked them with DS:-) Hmm, nothing more, but its nice. Modification (use 13, 14 and 15 modification points) there can be problem with moding this CA, because you need very much points in LF skills to obtain last three mod. points * Capacitor - decrease regen. time and Cooldown (from 30s to 20s of PL) - allows you to use PL more frequently. Good for me, finaly PL can be used more thn once during fight and its better for dynamic gameplay. Just learn how to use it effectively. * Super Charger - increase damage no thanks, this will never be a killing CA * Boost - increase flying range - it is must have modification, you want fly high:-) * Jet Stream - increase chance for DoT. Not. * Emergency Lift-off - perfect improvement, only one root´s protection TG has. * Flux - increasing pulse frequency increase possibly damage and that is something we dont want. Source Warden Fiery Ember Icy Evanescence * this is only quick visiting into TG amazing aspect Source Warden with very powerful Area of Effect CAs, but also this build can use it as small support. You can use those two CAs as a very good Damage Mitigation auras in different areas. FE is very good in last ice area before Phoenix Narmuil, IE can be used in battle against Fire Lord or in deep magma tunnels beneath Seraphim Island. Find your own use of this support. 6. Gear micromanagement What I really like on character development is creating my own pieces of armor and weapon. I love shopping nice jewels, I am enjoying every founding of new useful item, which fit into character design and looks stylish. I collect every one useful items during my gameplay with all characters and once per time, I stop playing and complete re-create my actuall gear. Count every socket, distibute them between rings, amulets and smith arts .. yes, I really like it. And that feelings, when you equip your naked character and your power grows until after last ring is put on finger and you see the final harmony, next level of killing power.. Back on my feet! :-) Lets deep into this micromanagement. Totally 8 armor pieces, one weapon and 23 sockets is fantastic. Armor As armor I choose Prototype LI 189 from XTM set. Armor againts all damage types, nice MF bonus, decreasing regen. time and three sockets - it sounds like paradise. And this armor looks pretty good. You can simple farm for this set piece from Griffin, Gahanka or Wild Boar. I socketed it by Artamarks Star (rare random drop) for more armor protection and defense, also inserted Tanit´s Collar (uncommon random drop) for some mitigation and Armor skill improving and as a bonus I increased all by Anneal smith arts. And voilá, hardplated Armor is there:-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helmet XTM helmet (its repetitive I know) - best looking helmet for TG in game, three sockets, visibility range, some defense.. Everythings we need. Try farm Holos for this helmet. I socketed two smith arts and amulet with LF aspect regen/defense improving. Final forger´s product: Harlequin Crest:-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legs Legs piece complete our XTM set (bonus %visibility range). This armor part brings three sockets, run speed and evade chance. In my experience this legs has the smallest drop rate from XTM set, but farming our three Bosses (or try Daloriel The Depraved) is good way to find it. Two rings helps to reach 150% run speed cap, one socket left. I used some kind of protection againts all dangerous secondary effects - Repellent Talisman against vermins:-) All jewels shopped. And there it is - equip this legs and move fast as lightning. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shoulders We continue with creating our golden statue. Shoulders of Truth looks well with XTM set and brings improvement of 3 sockets and + all CAs. Try farming Bloodclaw, Banshee or Holos for this armor. I decided this shoulders brings me te most +CAs benefit, so I socketed two heavenly amulets (hardly shopping). Bronze socket is place for other Anneal. There is finished Shoulders of Truth. Massive improvement in all ways. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Arm Human´s hand is hidden is Demiurge´s aparature. This arm dropped very often, gives nice bonus to AD and critical chance and we have two sockets to use. I stayed in arm design and socketed rings with critical and damage (one with hughe crit chance I found, second is from vendors). And there it is - massive Demiurge powergiver to your killing ability. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sash Lumen´s Sash improves your Offensive skills, Arm Gun and regen. time. Two sockets are great for additional bonuses. This Sash drop very often from Holos or Thranak. I kept its regen. time design and improved it with some LF aspect regen. amulets. Dont forget about +Absorption warding energy, its very useful to increase this ability when you shield is strengthen enough. Final universal Sash looks like this one: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Boots I choose Boots of Dark Path because of stylish looking. If I imagine a wanderer, this monkshoe perfectly fit in whole picture. Yes, Boots of the Demiurge are better, but I want some change:-) Three available sockets I used for Anneal, Whet and my old Shield Amulet. How is that kind of boots call in English? My vocabulary dont know how to translate "topánky" :-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Battery Ahh, unique part of TG gear. I shopped this Battery from smith, when I was looking for some substituion instead of Energy Core. And this ones I really like. Socket with my Shield amulets and ready to use any damage converter. Simple and frakking efective result --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weapon After a long playtime I stored away my lovely Nlovae´s Mystery and equip Tinwora´s Curse. What I need was to find Nlovae´s with better statistic, but no luck. So I equiped one of my Tinwora´s and its (surprise) very good. I socketed one best +skills amulet (dual stats) and Whet. Magical Stick:-) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Without doubt, create its own gear is very important and enjoyable part of Sacred. The best is finding balance between all character aspect - survival ability, killing power, explorer ability, regen. times etc. I think I created very tuned equipment. 7. General and Combat gameplay tips Notes of some useful tips storms out from my head: * Learn as much as possible about controlling you guardian - how to move on battlefield, creating tactical position, aiming your CAs (especially FE and AB) and Arm Gun. It takes some time to master this skill, but its very satisfying. * Try to max your moving and casting speed as fast as possible. * Spend some time with camera settings for best overview on battlefield and comfortble playing. * Keep on mind - every one CA level above penalty level decrease its execution speed by 1%. * Put your CAs into Combo slot - you received regen. time bonus even if in Combo is only one CA (obviously only with Combat Discipline skill) * Dont play without Shield:-) * Use Mentors wisely - spare them only in good experience areas. For more Mentors, farm pigs, wolves and Constructs. * Learn (and master this knowledge) about enemies weakness and protection - not every CAs is good in every combat situation, but you are able to react on all those situations with right CA. * Divided your -regen. times modifiers between universal and aspect count. Both has massive diminishing returns after 45% value. * Use buff suit for activating T-Egg. Create a gear with tons of +CAs and +T-Shield, equip, active and reequip into your normal gear. Bonuses stay same as in activation phase, but regen. penlty is counting from actual value. 8. Protective (not only defensive) utilities * Shield power and absorption from T-Egg * Damage mitigation from gear, T-Egg, Jolting Touch, Archimedes Beam and Tougness * Spell reflection from T-Egg * Melee reflection from Combat Alert and Jolting Touch * Massive (for TG) armor value from Armor, Relics, Artamarks Star, Toughness and smith art * 5% healing per every Jolting Touch´s pulse * Knockback from Amplifying Discharger * Stun from Furious Emblazer * Slow from Archimedes Beam * Relics! Try to find some uniqe ones with useful synergy to your skill and/or attributes, something like those: 9. Damage Lore info and tricks based on Damage Lore mastery * Fire Damage -> Burn DoT (damage over time): duration 5 second, inflict 20% base elemental damage per 1sec. from weapons, weapon based Combat Arts and spell based Combat Arts. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance and + %damage, but NO + %duration. * Poison Damage -> Poison DoT, duration 3 second, inflict 20% base elemental damage per 1sec. from weapons, weapon based Combat Arts and spell based Combat Arts. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance and + %damage, but NO + %duration. * Ice Damage -> Freeze, duration 10 second, 25% slow down run and attack speed of enemies. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance, but NO + %duration and +%damage. * Magic Damage -> Weaken, duration 10 second, reduce enemy statistics by 20%. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance, but NO + %duration and +%damage. * And at the end a little kiss of mathemathics - What does the additional damage bonus from mastery description mean? Base value of DoT effect is 20% from the source damage. 200% additional damage simply multiplies the damage for example the 200% = 2* and 300% is 3* . From picture of DL mastery you can see that every DoT effect inflicts 69% (20*3.45) damage from the base source. When Additional damage reaches 500%, your DoT will deal the same damage as your source damage. Enemies however have each of their own resistance against specific elements, which means some enemies are weak against burns but some are more resistant to burns. Benefits for this build * fire DoT from Deathly Spears´s modification Singe * weaknes from T-Energy Shroud´s modification Derogate * slow from Amplifying Discharger´s modification Ice Bullet * fire DoT from Furious Emblazer * weaknes from Jolting Touch * fire DoT and weaknes from Archimedes Beam * optional poison DoT/fire DoT/slow/weaknes from Arm Gun - it depends on damage type of socketed element 10. Arm Gun I was fascinating with this weapon from the start of playing TG. It is perfect character design decision - robot with its own hidden battery of power source, which can be transformed into personal laser rifle. Yes, this laser seems to be weak, but all in Sacred has two side. And I was deciding to reveal secret of this laser gun, reveal its effectivity and put it into my LF build. It can be simple for melee character, but what about caster char? It needs some effective tricks. I would like to use arm gun stylish like a toy. Stay on the top of hill and snipe poor kobolds or use it against dangerous bosses like Abishai or those ones using debuff CAs. Just other way how to break stereotyp of JT+DS combo. Three develpment steps of effective using arm gun for LF build. * Keep Battle Aura as castable semi-buff and modifiy it by Assault. Pump some runes. * Equip your hand by weapon with +%life leech modification. * Learn how to control your firing and aiming. Your Arm Gun Gear Simple, isnt it? But not that much (or less:-) So I will explain it deeper. +%life leech modification is ultimate boss killer mod, but till now was forbidden for my LF builds. Point is that this modifier is transformed from your active weapon to Arm Gun. Thats nice. But your Arm Gun shoot only for medium distance and you cannot hit moving target. No! And thats the magic of control - Just stay, press ctrl + left mouse, target cursor into blank space, off ctrl and (still) hold mouse and voila! your Temple Statue stay and shot in every space when you have a cursor without clicking. Now you can shoot horizontaly moving targets (shoot ahead them) and your shooting distance is infinite. Master this Arm Gun control and you will see that fun. Oh and one thing - equip some items with +attack speed and +attack modifier. Helps a lot. 11. Speeds and Visibility * Casting speed is crucial for all used CAs. You want spam them as fast as possible. With LF CAs theres no problem, just master Lore skill and use some +skill modifier (before level 75 equip some stuff with +casting speed modifier). A little problem is with JT+DS combo, because in Combo with CAs from different Aspects there works exact calculation equal. Example: casting speed of JT is 150% and casting speed of DS (DS is not affected by attack speed) is 100%. Equip ring with +14% casting speed, so total value for JT is 164% and for DS it is 114%. Than put both in combo JT+DS and casting speed become "median value" - 139%. This combo is the reason for equipping +cast speed at higher char. level. * Run speed is very important due to combat tactics. You have to move fast, be one step before your enemies for creating tactical position. Anyway, fast moving makes a gameplay more dynamics. Go for it as soon as possible. * Attack speed is useful only in specifics situtations - when you want to use your Arm Gun. But dont underestimate it and prepare you character for sniper battle with this modifier (you received some base value from Lumen´s Sash) * Visibility Range is universal modifier which helps you a lot. The more you reveal map, the higher is your magic find and with long sight you are able to move more tactical on battlefield. Prototype set helps you a lot. * Camera settings - set camera for the best lucidity on battlefield. Uncheck "Follow camera" and set min. zoom and min zoom curve on 25%, max. zoom on max and mx. zoom curve on 75%. 12. Video Gallery Make yourself comfortable, bring some refreshing drink and enjoy this Mechanix video series. You will see tons of different Bosses, combat strategies and epic battles in HD:-) * Bloodclaw - I welcomed this big bad werevolf with my testing Combo of DS+PL+JT+AB. DS+PL part is very funny - you activacte waves of DS and fly over enemies. Its very style trick when you steer large mob of enemies into bridge (or some other coridor) and then fly over their heads like spiked ufo:-) Anyway, enjoy this critical cacophony show with camera shaking bug at the start. * Forest Guardian - I cannot defeat this Tree for a long time because of his complete healing CA. Every time I lowered his HP below half amount, he comleted heals himself. But after massive upgrade of DS (6K damage, 6*waves per cast) I feeld my oportunity. And it managed perfect. two notes for video: * at the beginning you can see how dangerous situation DoT+Root can be and how nice is JT healing. * The smaller tree is Tree Spirit champion - one of the rarest champion in game with an amazing valuables drop rate. * Facetelleon - this is a little longer video, but I like atmosphere in this deep cave, where Factelleon is hidden. Anyway, best way how to meet him on Free play is using the backdoor from last Dryad´s Isle seaport. For playing I choose pure Archimedes Beam, becuse this energy Laser perfectly fit into this deep dark cave (but JT+DS is faster). Oh, and there is one amazing drop at the end:-) * Gahanka - I always like playing with Gahanka. But why he throws stones on my head? (technology vs pure brutality at 0:58) * Fire Lord - this Elemental has some immunities on Niob difficulty - I cannot beat him with Physical, Magic or Fire damage. Ice damage is good way but Ice damage from AD is too small againts him. So I decided for pure melee fight supported via Battle Extension´s Double Hit passive bonus and used some fire mitigation from Icy Evanescence (oh, still Lost Fusion build, nice, isn it?:-) * Scaron - very nice Bug, very nice Island of Thousand Paths, very nice music there and very nice Flamethrower. * Ice Lord - next Lord with some immunities (Ice, Physical, Magic), co I decided for simple Fire versus Ice. You can see there very good example of Damage Lore mastery and Deathblow modifiction of FE in action. * Poison Lord - Fire, Physical and Posion immunity, but you can defeat him simple with Jolting Touch. So I electrified him with high voltage. * Gar´Colossus - my favorite Boss, because there are some nice ways how to play with/defeat him. In this video I used my Arm Gun with LL% modifiction and Battery improved by Poison Fang. * Thranak - pure example of devastating power of JT+DS combo. Simple, effective but a little boring. Useful againts most of Bosses, if you want. * Banshee - All area north from Whisperwood is very mysterious, like forgotten part of Ancaria. And Banshee perfectly fit into this land, deathly ghost hidden deep in old crypt out of all frequented roads. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-h92dgceSdA * Wild Boar - Those pigs are best to show ultimate power of JT+DS combo againts mobs. note: "all animals in this video are pixels, no one living pig was hurt". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7P2MAg0MCI 13. Download character Would you like to try playing this character? I released savegame files as attachment for you, just download and unzip into Savegame folder. Enjoy this gameplay experience:-) 14. Say hello (thanks Ascaron for this addictive game, thanks to all good people from this amazing community - you all are perfect motivation for writing this wall of text. I hope you enjoy this build. vaclaf:-) p.s. I will keep this post updated with some text improvement and videos. Mechanix Omega-TX.zip Edited February 7, 2011 by vaclaf 6 Link to comment
locolagarto 15
Wow, I can't think of anything more intelligent to write. This is one of the most detailed build guides I have ever seen. it must have taken you hours and hours to get all the screen shots and details all laid out. Great job vaclaf! Link to comment
Unholy Hungers 1
Wow Vaclaf - a lot of work has gone into this guide. Impressive stuff! I must admit, I am not a Temple Guardian fan - it's the only character I have which died multiple times just trying to make it down the stairs from the starting point temple! This might (probably is) because I truly suck at TG playing, but your build makes me reconsider my initial disgust at how pitiful the TG appears. Well done! Llama8 8
* Fire Damage -> Burn DoT (damage over time): duration 5 second, inflict 20% base elemental damage per 1sec. from weapons, weapon based Combat Arts and spell based Combat Arts. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance, but NO + %duration and + %damage doesnt work properly.* Poison Damage -> Poison DoT, duration 3 second, inflict 20% base elemental damage per 1sec. from weapons, weapon based Combat Arts and spell based Combat Arts. From Damage Lore Mastery apply + %chance, but NO + %duration and + %damage doesnt work properly. Another very impressive guide Vaclaf, though I'm confused by the bolded sections, why do you say Damage Lore doesn't work? One point about the RpH mod for JT is that it increases with CA level, while the "built in" RpH is fixed: entry5 = {"et_energy_leech_once", 50, 0, 0, 9 },entry6 = {"et_chance_reflect_CC", 300, 10, 1, 41 }, entry7 = {"et_life_leech", 50, 30, 2, 9 }, entry8 = {"et_life_heal_rel", 50, 0, 3, 9 }, entry9 = {"et_energy_leech_once", 20, 1, 4, 9 }, Link to comment

essjayehm 58
20 / 10 Sorry, Valcalf, I had to deduct 30 points because I had to scroll left/right Definiltey the most comprehensive guide to date. As a side note to Llama's comments, those were in your Mechanix build, when explaining how Damage Lore works for Ice and Blood, compared to Fallen Angel 2.43/console versions. I haven't tested it, but I would believe that Damage Lore mastery does not work for console/2.43. Link to comment

I haven't tested it, but I would believe that Damage Lore mastery does not work for console/2.43. It doesn't work on 2.43, so I would assume that it doesn't work on the consoles either. I'm not sure about the mastery duration bonus but I'm inclined to agree with Vaclaf in that it doesn't appear to work. Link to comment

vaclaf 10
Hello all good players, as small friday videoupdate I prepared for you gameplay video Mechanix against Narmuil - absolutely well-designed Phoenix Boss hidden at the end of new Ice Region. * How to reach Narmuil as fast as possible? From Island of Many Roads teleport to Aerendyr (you can fast visit Poison Lord) or to Na´Fiah (say good bye to Failitia). For moving from this one location use ship/balloon to travel into The crystal hut. There pick Entry Condition quest and move via balloon to last station called Hot-Air balloon (you skip whole "Blue Abyss Labyrinth something" area). Right now you are very close to Phoenix Nest. On the way there is one very annoying creature - Dracolin champion. This enemy cast a massive slowing CA on you. * Well, you are in fight with Narmuil. First of, be very careful of his Ice Meteor Shower and Dragon Iceball, but you can see when he cast those spells and react on that. Second, before killing Narmuil you have to break four Ice statues in order from left to right. On this video I relied on my JT´s passive protection during battle, but still, there is one heartstopping situation (solved with realy cold head:-). Enjoy in HD. anhphampch 0
Tips for starting character: If you dont have some SP utility character, log on closed net EU Hardcore lobby, create a TG lvl5 with Bargaining skill and ask somebody from D.a.r.k. clan about helping bring your char to niob difficulty (they are very helpful good players). Then export this character in single player and enjoy niob shopping and smith arts for your SP toons:-) It can helps a lot. I extremely love your builds... Can you explain a little bit more about the niob shopper and how to log on closed net EU Hardcore lobby? I think we have to play online in order to do this right? Thanks in advance Link to comment

Thanks in advance There isnt actually any need to go online to do this. If you wish to, by editing the balance.txt file in the sacred 2 install folder (<whatever the folder name is>\scripts\server\balance.txt) you can allow access to niobium easily. Changing the line "LevelMinForDiff = {1,1,60,100,140}" to "LevelMinForDiff = {1,1,1,1,1}" will allow you to access each difficulty at level 1. Then, by creating a low character in silver, raising it to level 5, putting skill points into bargaining and then going into niobium and raising bargaining even further through gear raising it you will be able to shop for the highest quality gear to give your new temple guardian. I found that line and changed it like the way you teach me above. But I cant save the changes. it keeps saying Access is denied . Im running 7 ultimate 64 bit thanks again in advance I tried to copy the file to desktop, change the settings then copy and replace it. it worked When I create a new Char. it still only shows bronze and silver Edited November 19, 2010 by anhphampch Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
All I can think of is that maybe you didnt actually overwrite the text file. If you open balance.txt now does it have the correct line in it? Link to comment
