  1. Each time the two of you go back and forth with the game's code I get the feeling that there's more broken stuff in it than what's actually working. I wonder how the game got such a cult following with that much being broken, and no it's not a jab as much as it's a genuine thought.
  2. It's the maximum cap for the monsters' level on the difficulty you're in. Basically it sets both a lower and upper limit to the monsters' levels per region and per difficulty level. So you'll eventually be of a higher level than mobs in Silver when you hit the cap, making the challenge non-existent. For me the rush to Niob is all about getting the best modifiers on gear (which scale with difficulty level) and going well over mastery level to have a better understanding of my build on more dangerous grounds.
  3. Most likely it will, since it checks all files against what was originally downloaded. So any changes are bound to be reverted. Easy enough to confirm though, just launch the game and see if the logo is the vanilla one or not.
  4. I think that CM 1.60 was a big help to those numbers as there's an influx of old and new players alike that are re-experiencing the game again with Elite Textures and without the constant crashes. Can't say I'm surprised as that was one of the factors that I stressed out the most during the development of the patch, and I guess it played out as I predicted it. Nice to see the game still catching fire and people still enjoying it.
  5. Probably just not that many Dryad mongers I'd say. I'd like to help but it's one of those classes that I've never played...
  6. Oh, your mouse still uses Setpoint, that's why you can't create profiles. Newer Logitech mouses use a different software centre, called Logitech Gaming Software, which enables you to create gaming profiles that lets you combine its buttons with keystrokes. What happens is that you have the standard keys assigned on the game and then you map it on the LGS for the mouse buttons. Setpoint doesn't allow for this, sorry if I misunderstood.
  7. I had the same happen to me on Crysis, so I solved the issue by creating a game profile for it like I explained above. It's simple and easy.
  8. In my G502 all I need to do is create a game profile based on the game's EXE file and then assign keystrokes from the buttons related to the in-game functions. Basically assign letter Q to "mouse button x" for auto-collect, etc etc. Do you use game profiles or are you just assigning the mouse keys directly on the in-game options menu? Because if the game profile on LGS isn't working I couldn't fault the patch, but, if what you're saying is that the game now doesn't recognise the mouse buttons in the options menu then all you need to do is create a gaming profile for Sacred 2 and do the keystroke assignment. I know, it's "the other way around", but if it works it works. Hope that helps.
  9. OK, so it's possible! Now where's my mouse cursor?! But seriously, I keep getting amazed at the possibilities of what this game lets you do.
  10. That sounds more like a Logitech Gaming Software issue than a patch issue to be honest. Logitech G502 user here. You should probably try to update the LGS, or reinstall it if you have the latest version available. Since it runs on top of the games no patch on a game should cause those issues. I even run Nvidia CP with custom settings for Sacred 2 so it goes well with third party software.
  11. Sorry for the late response, went crazy with cleaning the new house. I think "cam1_rotx_max/min" is what changes the leaning of the ellipsis, but I think I adjusted it via the in-game options menu as it's faster and more easily noticeable. Those changes can be seen almost instantly if you do it like that. I remember that tampering with the values I could see top down, but that was at maximum zoom out, so if you can combine full 90 degrees with a really low maximum zoom out you could probably do it top down near the head of the character. That is, unless you can't make the function (ellipsis) work in negative values, that I can't say if it's possible.
  12. Yeah that's what I meant in my earlier post. What you adjust is an ellipsis between the ground and the sky that intersects your character, so the lower the values are (closer to zero) the closer the ground is, so I reckon that you can't actually make it in first person view since there's no line in the code to adjust the ellipsis closer or wider to your character's position. At least I'm pretty sure there isn't one.
  13. You can get a closer third person view, lesser isometric that is if you tamper with the min/max zoom distances and angles, but I'm not sure if you can input a value that'll do what you want to do.
  14. In short, yes. Longer answer is that there's an oficial ISO file which installs graphics20-24, hence the talk about backing up and replacing them. In the absence of the "original ones" you can just place the new "trimmed ones" in the PAK folder and the game will recognise them.
  15. If you want to do a clean reinstall that's ok, I myself did the same after the patch saw its final form. You can delete the game's instalation folder, the "ascaron entertainment" folder on C:\Users\"user name"\Saved Games\ and the options.txt hidden file on C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2\. Every other step is alright I guess. Do install the Trimmed Elite Textures if you want to enjoy the game with the best possible quality. You just need to place the PAK files in the Sacred 2 installation folder.
  16. Yes, the big red chest. You have two tabs, the first is your own chest and the second is the shared chest, which you can access with all characters that you create. You can also press X (if memory serves) to summon the carrier imp, which is basically a walking chest.
  17. Well, uniques and set items will be mostly unaffected since their stats are always the same. It's just that rare items (yellow) will have their stats re-rolled so you may end up with mostly useless stuff. Plus the logic of starting over is more due to preventing broken quests, so what you can do is put your uniques and set items in the shared chest and start a new character so he can still use them. The camera improvements are, by memory, in boss battles. You can adjust the camera settings manually though, just follow the instructions on this topic:
  18. That's odd then, and I have no idea why you're getting crashes in that area...
  19. Weird, I never get crashes there. It's an intensive area though. Try going south of Entruag where you kill the ten trolls for the Light Path main quest and head on for Fields of Blades. It's an area where you'll find even more fighting, see if it crashes there.
  20. CM Patch 1.60 drastically increases the stability, though there have been reports os some random crashing and some Win 10 issues. But it really makes a difference. You'll have to start all over though, it works better with new characters.
  21. As far as I know that doesn't happen anymore. I've done the quest before in SP and I never had to change the difficulty level to be able to keep playing. Don't worry about it.
  22. How come you say it's incompatible when Flix released EE v2.0 based on CM 1.60? It was (re)made after 1.60 came out in order to work on top of it, and this is just a newer and updated version.
  23. The game menu recognises CTRL+V?! Wow! Cool discovery mate, cool discovery.
