Yes, different color sockets imbue different level bonuses. To be honest I never really worried about them. But check this link here. It's a socketing guide on the Sacred Official Forum. And don't worry about asking questions. We were all NOOBs at one point playing this game too:)

There are a couple different ways damage is presented (xx=a random number). There are also 4 types of damage, Physical, Fire, Poison and Magic. The following examples are typical of what you'll find on a weapon. "Magic xx-xx" this is base magic damage for melee/ranged only (instead of Magic it could be Fire, Physical or Poison) "Weapon Damage Magic + xx% Strength (or any other attribute) A percentage of an attribute added to melee Base Magic Damage. "Magic Spell +xx%" This modifier will be applied to Magic Spell Base Damage Magic Damage +xx% This modifier will affect both Spell and Melee Base Magic Damage When I refer to Base Damage it means the damage of a particular type without any modifiers. Hopefully I got this all right. As you can see it can get quite complex.

I think patents are a good idea if not used to excess. If they're used as intended, they really protect the inventor. Say I discover a new way to make car engines 50% more efficient. I spent 10 years developing it and spent 10 million on research. Without the patent, every other engine maker is going to copy my design and create rip-offs. I would never see the return on my investment. It would really kill any desire for companies to have an R&D Department. Everyone would wait for someone else to make it and then sell copies. It might sound like Apple is going too far, but if it's their research then they deserve to be protected. Plus patents aren't indefinite. They have a certain time period where they have exclusive right to market the technology and then after that everyone else is free to incorporate into their products. Plus they still have to be approved.

I've decided to make an account I barely use into a mule available for all [D.a.r.k] Sacred members Each character will have it's own mule. I'm trying to collect all the level 60 and below sets (and uniques if there's still room). I hope to have a full set of each set for all characters eventually. I'm focusing on the lower level sets for a couple reasons. First there's simply not enough space to keep sets of all the different levels. Second, I'd like to make starting a new toon much easier for everyone. I've also given each mule 100 million gold for starting new toons. What I'd like to see happen is that you use the set or set pieces to level and/or test something out. Once you've outgrown the items, they would be returned to the mule for others to use. I know we'll lose some due to deaths and that's where I hope everyone can help me out by donating required set pieces as needed. Just a couple rules/guidelines to help make this work 1) Please only use for yourself or other Dark members. No friends, or a friend of a friend. Membership has it's privileges 2) When done please return any unneeded/unused sets back to the mules. 3) Please only take the gold you need. The mule is not intended to bankroll traders. I typically have lots of gold on my other accounts and will be glad to give you some so you can shop 4) I've decided not to give everyone the password/CD-Keys. It's not a reflection on trust but more of management/organization. Still working on who gets the account info, but hope to have it where one of us is available/online most of the time. Guess that's about it. Again we're still working out the kinks on who/what/when/where but I hope this helps out everyone

If I remember correctly you only need 2 toons wearing shades but you had to be near other person to get aura and experience boost.

Has anyone ever really used this mod? Was thinking about making a max Banish Undead toon and see what happens, but if it's already been done/figured out I probably won't.

I actually saw very little in the way of office politics while in the Navy, same with gossiping...maybe I was the exception or maybe it was because I was always stationed at small commands. I never had more than 50-60 co-workers at any time. My job now only employs 15-20. So I have always been around a small close-knit group of people. I had a good time in the Navy and if not for some personal issues probably would have stayed for 20. Sorry yours and your husband's experience wasn't very good Genenut.
