  1. They start with something like this programming language for kids called squeak. The computers will stay at school as far as I know. There is a central server room and the room for the first class has just keyboards, monitor and pointing device attached via radio and/or cable. Our twins are both left handed just like me.
  2. Your baby plan: Our oldest is 18, when she was 3 and a half years and started to visit a fullday kindergarten the house was empty, working on kid number 2 started. When daughter number 2 was 3 and a half years and started to visit a fullday kindergarten the house was empty, working on kid number 3 started. When daughter number 3 was 3 and a half years and started to visit a fullday kindergarten the house was empty, working on kid number 4 started. Mixed twins happened next Good luck with your baby plans.
  3. Ah broken tooth, so not just loosing it because of age. That's surely something for a vet. My wife says Buprenorphine is used at small animals because there is not much risc in overdosing it. No stopping to breath or such. The animal will just be too much tired or sleeps a day. If this happens just reduce the dosis. Buprenorphine is used to help people to stop an addiction to heroin. She wondered why I asked for it. Buprenovet is the thing for animals a least here in germany.
  4. We luckily avoided the alltime record for heat, but 37.4 Celcius was close enough. Weather is nice with lots of rain. The rain is really needed and it is a slow and steady rain at night, so I call this a nice weather. The plants of the early potatos are dying and I looked for some tasty fresh potato. Most had the size of beans because of very few rain this year and o never wated them. It is like 1 citron size to 10 bean size. So I wondered what we will do with all these small ones. Unpeeled, roasted with rosmarin and some trouts from the lake? Our oldest likes fishing and it would allow some talking before she leaves for her year at france next tuesday.
  5. We had some river flooding weeks ago. A local farmer brought his cows uphill to our place. One cow gave birth to 3 calves and our daughter was kinda made their godmother snd could choose the names. Yesterday she was helping the farmer to bring the herde of cows on the other side of a secondary road. And she did it while riding a zebra. She saw pictures and videos that zebras are less annoyed by horseflies because of the stripes. So she used medical clay to camouflage our black friesian horse inspired from this picture: http://www.cavallo.de/sixcms/media.php/6/thumbnails/700_SimoneSteiner.JPG.3519318.JPG We had way more mosquitos and insects than normal because of the flooding so my wife helped her to do the camouflage. Is this just a german thing, or are there suddenly more zebras in the world?
  6. I wonder if Buprenovet what we gave our dog is the same. But it had to be applied below the tongue, which was probably easier in our case: St Bernhard/longhair german shepherd mix. I could nearly put my head in its fang to see where it has to be placed. It was a long discussion if the dog should be put to eternal sleep, right lower foreleg amputated or trying to put a bone replacement in. Luckily we had an animal health insurance and the person who had caused the accident had to pay the difference. So with a pain killer 50times stronger than morphium, it is an infection?
  7. Added a TV. Or do I have to say: a multifunctional display for navigation, rear camera for parking, playing DVDs, ... 120 Euro.
  8. We had some discussion yesterday. The problem was: The twins are 5 and a half now. School will start for them after summer and the school wrote that they will use computers right away from first week. So which device should be used: mouse: fast switching between keyboard and pointing device, hand moves are not as fine as finger moves touchball: what I use. fast switching between keyboard and pointing device, finer control than mouse, but are there any touchballs in a size for 6 year olds graphic tablet: slow switching between keyboard and pointing device, but intuitiv for young ones, best fine motoric ring mouse: none in kids size ... I would say graphic tablet ?
  9. Congratulations I remember your older posts and the problems you had-
  10. Ah yes the old copy proitection is considered a virus if you have heuristic virus scan activated.
  11. Sacred2 runs a gameserver. You are connected to this gameserver even if you play solo I think. You allowed sacred2 in your firewall?
  12. The colour scheme was first on a special VW polo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Polo_Mk3#Polo_Harlequin Stearing wheel, seats, everything was coloured this way. Still some harlequin fan clubs over here.
  13. Put another, Harlquin painted Beetle. My brother has a ceiling door mainly for these foltable seat-bank and tables for outdoor parties. He runs a band and they play at weddings and such. Hope it is a good compromise of usefulness, fun, low cost and youth. If my dad in law says the car is okay I know that there will be no mechanical problems. The car shares a lot of parts with the Golf V and the Touran. It has just no independant suspension in the rear but a beam axle or however it is called in english. So replacement parts are not too expensive, car graveyard for example.
  14. The car had more extras than exspected: A nice extra of the car is something like a block heater. A timer controlled burner warms the cooling water when the engines is out and starts the pump. So the cabin and the engine are warm when you enter. AND: It works the other was around too. If the cabin is in the sun and would have 50+Celcius, the pump can start to bring heat to the engine cooler and the cabin temperature can be cooled down to surrounding temperatur. All this without the engine running. This is not a clima control which would need a running engine. My father in law (rally driver and car mechanic) and me put some more extras in: Useful if you need a ladder. She is studying arboristic after all, how to cut and cure trees. 250 Euro the set. We did the cutting and mechanical work ourself. Well my dad in law did, I was mainly a biological tool reaching robot. The colour will be more young by using coloured plastic films instead spraying. Will be done by our daughter after her grandpa showed how to do it. Using leftovers from the car mechanic shop of her cousin. So the car will be coulourful I fear. She plans something like: The original front light unit was replaced by a rallye-sport unit: 6 lights including fog lights. Fog lights are really useful in wet forests when the sun starts to shine. 40Euro , got from a demolished rally car on a car graveyard. Also a search/work light unit is placed on the cabin, 40 Euro from car graveyard. Being able to search for a house/address in the dark without leaving the car may be not a bad idea for a girl. Dual functions with work light for the arboristics.
  15. How is the cat? Just thought about it when watering the cat gras.
  16. I started a Shield-basher. The first 12 levels were bronze to build up some defense first and to be able to kill enemies unarmed. Used unmodified skeleton fortification as a support while in bronze. The character never used a weapon so far, I modified demonic blow for explosion, poison and life leech. The nice thing at poison modifier is: it adds poison base damage. So not having a weapon and only 3-3 damage rings was countered by higher ca-level. 8s reg-times and 2s reg per hit at level 25. Also good to know is how an unarmed/shield demonic blow is executed: a fist attack and a shield swing = 2 attacks = 2 explosions If the target is dead at the fist punch the ca autotargets new for the shield attack The attacks are really fast and the character currently finished the octopus in silver campaigne with just fist and shield. Skills used: tactics, armour, death warrior focus, shield lore, concentration, combat discipline, toughness planed: damage lore, spell resistance, combat reflexes I will take damage lore because it is the only skill that adds more damage when attacking bosses with just a shield. Combat reflexes or constitution: it will be just 1 point and I will combat reflexes a try because of reduced criticals
  17. Isn't getting headaches again from the smell of gasoline actually a good thing? Imagine that you would inhale fuel gases without knowing...
  18. We did some team play with just melee characters. Soon it was boring because of dual wielding kaldurs and x% life leech on sets. So the next time there will be a few rules: no x% life leech all damage has to be done either by weapon attacks or with reflectiing enemy attacks So the tricky question is, if there is no x% lifeleech what is the best character for high weapon damage? Has more defense put into the character because of fights now taking minutes?
  19. We bought a dog-scooter with quick release for the rope in case the dog runs to the side. Two leonsbergers with more than 100 pounds each could track the scooter with our second daughter at a nice speed. Now after she has recovered from her car crash nearly except a thick scar at the lower leg muscle. She is at bicyling again. So I found myself using the scooter more and more to train the dogs. Ever considered a scooter? They have their pros and cons, but having big dogs and to control them while running is a big pro.
  20. He was 74 when he sold it on black market and he lived for 19 more years without being lynched by unsatisfied customers, well selling was only till 1946. Woodruff has coumarin, a blood thinner, fights some cancer types and fungus disease. However it is not allowed on other side of ocean because it is toxic to rodents which were used for testing its toxitity. But rodents have a different digesting system to humans and so it is still allowed in germany. Woodruff was used as a replacement for vanilla in cigarettes in old europe. The fermenting also cracks some heavy carbon hydrogens= less tar. But I never smoked and I won't start with this mix, well 64000$ .... Perhaps one cigarette for the taste
  21. March 1945 war reached our area. Thousands of forced workers were set free and some started marauding the area because the towns they were were out of food. Diary from grandgrandma: From 8 cows only 1 survived the marauding. All pigs and half of the hens got slaughtered. Stored food, sellfmade wine and tobacco leaves got robbed. Neighbour wife got two fingers cut off when she couldn't remove rings quickly enough. The problem was that all animals were reported before the marauding and farmers had to give food away to other people based on the registered numbers of stock. So there was a big black market to exchange stuff to give the number of eggs and milk to the authorities which was demanded. This was the time when my grandgrandpa got creative and invented selfmade cigarets, shoe polish, .... People with weak stomachs should look away: walnut leaves, chopped woodruff, birch leaves, marinated iin a mix of herbs and ruined wine (not totally emptied wine bottles). After 3 days of marinating the leaves were put in linnen and placed mid in a compost of horseapples to ferment and get the normally brown tobacco colour. Somehow I fear that e-cig liquid producers use similiar mixes and that is the reason they don't report what is in. As I said it are missing laws: e-cigs are not a food, not a medical drug, not a tobacco product, not anything which law forces to be researched for its contents and the contents written on the package.
  22. I have a nicotin free tobacco replacement which would ruin the cigaret industry, robbing countries of their high tobaco taxes, change global finances and banks,... So I better not post it. It was invented by my grandgrandpa in march 1945.
  23. For unarmed with a SW I like demonic blow best: Area effect, addpoison base damage and lifeleech
