I did ten, they ranged from low 300's to about 550's.

Pretty safe to say my ping is in the 400-450 range.

I'd rather call that 'actual latency' or

 

'final ingame action-reaction response time'

 

and not 'ping' as its missleading here, especially since you measure that from ingame.

 

 

what were all (known) sacred 2 related IP addresses / domain names again ? (lobbies+servers)

 

because if you actually ping them from lobby or even manually 'outside' game or do a traceroute, you'd see drastically faster/shorter response times, from what I remember...

 

 

anyways, I live in Austria, southern direct neighbour of Germany, ingame command as described above usually gave me everything from 300 to more than 10000 (ms?)..

but never less, only higher..

 

edit 2: under 'optimal' (or better call it ' for Sacred 2 normal') circumstances, the few times I tried during Sacred 2 Ice and Blood , it was like an avg between 350-600

edit 3: all values with the ingame console command, closed net servers only

PS: in sacred 1 uw, after overspawning spider desert or the golem cave in VoT, I think highest shown ingame was like 15-30 seconds, sometimes game was so unrisponsible then,

the command wouldn't show you any value at all anymore.. but perhaps you saw it crashing later after a 1 to 5 minutes time-out / frozen screen or so

You're kidding me right:) That's insane! That looks more like the ping you get if you play a LAN game of Sacred 2. Well, I'm not home right now so I'll post back later, but I'm usually around 1k ping, sometimes more, occasionally a tad less.

Yeah, I ended up giving up since I couldn't even connect to the server most of the time I tried to log in.
