Stray-Dog 0 Share Posted July 10, 2011 With regard to connecting to a friends IP by typing it in, that was done in the LAN connection section of the game. This made connecting through a VPN that much easier. Link to comment

Steerpike1 53 Share Posted July 17, 2011 One thing I'd like to see is a return to the way the battle music worked in Sacred 1. Let's have it kick in when you are in the range of an enemy that is a significant challenge to you*, not when you approach the next rat in the chain of many you have to kill to get to the next town. I like the music in Sacred 2, even the battle music, but let's set it up so it isn't playing the majority of the time? (Like in the Swamps - all right, I try to spend as little time there as possible, as I don't like it, but for about 80% of the time I am there it's the battle music of my chosen character I'm listening to, not the background music. I know it can be turned off in the options txt [or whatever - it hasn't worked for me] but that shouldn't be necessary). Keep the music good (as both S1 and Sacred 2 have good music - I've said elsewhere to keep Dag Winderlich** as the composer, as he has done such a good job), but get rid of the repetitive battle music. * And by that I mean a genuine challenge. I think the battle music should be an indication that something close by could prove a bit problematic. I'm not sure how that could work, as I regularly have characters in Sacred 2 telling me they shouldn't be fighting the opponents they are at that level because of their SB. ** His musical work with the Sacred world in some ways makes the games for me. King Angel 69 Share Posted July 21, 2011 (edited) For sacred 3: 1. Male and female character ( ex: dragon mage male and female ) 2. Special mounts 3. Classes for character ( ex: druid, mage, warrior....... ) 4. Boss to be Respawnable ( in single player and multiplayer ) 5. In inventory screen to see how looks the character ( ex: inventory of torchlight game when put the weapon, armor and other stuff , WOW ) 6. NO bats and rats 7. Inventory more larger 8. DLC for game Edited July 21, 2011 by King Angel Link to comment
gogoblender 3,199 Share Posted July 21, 2011 6. NO bats and rats Ah, I SO agree! I'm getting 9(was getting) really tired of the mundanity of a lot of teh enemies in the game. Spending so much time on really normal animals like rats, then more bats, then...rats, and then cats, and bats, then a few more rats... Give me something horrible to kill Give me a run away head http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TevQS4qgE_Q gogo Link to comment
kavlor 0 Share Posted July 24, 2011 I'd like to see them maintain an equal or better spell/skill system and not streamline things to the degree that they did with DS3.I don't want to see all future ARPGs become major streamlined just to sell to the masses besides DS3 has a User score of 5.8 on Gamespot so it did not do it any good. They can make more money when people buy more character slots and even extra accounts,I bought 2 accounts in Sacred and a dozen or so character slots for Sacred 2.I'd rather they make money this way than sell mass copies.Quality over quantity. And this is actually what I'm very very afraid of. This "streamlining" process chopped the heart and soul out of DS3. That game is a kind of good game, but it is certainly not the game that I was interterested in buying. I can see them saving a ton of money on it though, straight, linear, scripted paths keep costs down, but Sacred's supposed to be about so much more than that. gogo Link to comment

I never really have been someone who felt the urge to complete lots of quests, some of them for experience perhaps, and the campaigns at least once for the hell of it, but the game to me is mostly about the hack and slash-ness, running around with people online whacking things I also think though that instead of having 400 or so fairly basic/similar quests that half (or even less) the number of more detailed and varied quests would be much more interesting and likely to interest. But they really can't cut out the CA system or dumb it down, the large range of options is what makes the game. Link to comment
Steerpike1 53 Share Posted July 26, 2011 "But they really can't cut out the CA system or dumb it down, the large range of options is what makes the game." Amen to that. One of the reasons I still love this game, even though I only play SP, is the building up of bonuses and seeing how they work. I still get a smile on my face when fighting a boss and seeing death blow come into effect. I hope they don't fiddle too much with how the Sacred franchise works, but I fear they will to make them more mainstream. Link to comment
Valkyr 18 Share Posted August 4, 2011 Hello, what I want for Sacred 3 is a more 'traditional' repertorioe of characters; because the character selection in Sacred 2 was a little bizarre with that fighter undead, and the inquisitor. I like especially the Great Seraphim (as the paladin), the Sacred 1 Elf (as the archer), the Sacred 2 Elf (as the magician), the Sacred 1 Gladiator (as the fighter), the Sacred 1 dark elf (as the assassin), the Sacred 1 vampire (as a dark knight), and you can put Dwarfs, Dryads, Succubus, Orcs... the traditional mythological vault is huge and full of great stereotypes. Noizic 0 Share Posted August 13, 2011 Less bugs (meaning they should wait with release to get it as polished as possible) and no **** restrictions against modding the game along with decent mod tools of course. Non-technically there's not much but what I loved about Sacred 2 compared to Sacred 1 is the new modifications for Combat Arts so any more upgrades there would be awesome as well as an even better Combo system. A proper modding toolset would be nice, but like in Sacred 2, licensing issues for the access to certain parts of the code may be an issue, hopefully something that could be overcome this time around though. Legend Aadil 4 Share Posted August 17, 2011 Please let everyone play together on the same parties... no silly allignment ruining it for everyone online. Sacred 3 should try and remember the positive elements from Sacred that made the game so memorable. Sacred Franchise community members like to share, sing in the servers, and be in the same party for taking out baddies. gogo The allignment is definitely a great suggestion! Simple but very effective! Link to comment

DLC for game Male and female is of course a decent idea. Special mounts - Standard... Classes for characters I'm not sure about, as each character is specialised and it's combat arts drastically effect it. You wouldn't want Dryads Combat Arts with a melee based Dryad. Rather than adding character classes, just add more characters would do I guess. Inventory can't be too large, as limiting the inventory is part of the process of clearing it out regularly and making sure you see any items that are rare which you may have missed out. Hacksaw32 2 Share Posted August 18, 2011 I would like to see a Jack of all trades class, one that can use all of the skills but has limited Combat Arts and maybe lower stats. Link to comment

But you'd only be able to choose a limited amount of skills anyway, I think a character like that would probably be underpowered. Link to comment
Scleameth 19 Share Posted August 18, 2011 Thinking about "what I really want" from Sacred 3 herewith my list: I want $10 paid into my bank account every time I gain a level. I want 20 different classes each with 20 unique sets. I want all characters to be able to wear at least 30 amulets and 20 rings ie Plenty-o-bling I want the game to have insanely good graphics with very low system requirements. I want customizable CA animations I want my in-game actions to influence the real world I want a bunny mount or a tank Link to comment
