Schot 407
Hey guys and gals. Just wanted to mention the latest thing I've come across. I'm listening to the composed orchestral of Bear McCreary, the soundtrack of Battlestar Galactica season 2 and, wow. It is truly amazing, the compositions that are played out. There's some truly moving pieces in this collection. I watched the episodes of the show and one thing that stands out is the music. So finally I got around to some digging of the music. I found an awesome site that offers great samples of the soundtrack. They supply awesome samples of all the tracks. Check out the audio samples page and have a listen! Battlestar Galactic; Season 2 soundtrack sample page Just scroll down and you'll see the list of tracks of which the track names are clickable to get the sample. My favorites are: 17. Prelude to War (from 'Pegasus' and 'Resurrection Parts One and Two') This one is by far my fave! 8mins of amazing violins and Taiko drums. Woot! 11. Scar (from 'Scar') 5. Allegro (from 'Home Part One') 4. A Promise to Return (from 'The Farm') Well. I'm off to buy the soundtrack today. I managed to have a listen to the full cd and it is really something. Cheers all. Happy listening. Link to comment

erialc 2
It was christmas eve babe In the drunk tank An old man said to me, wont see another one And then he sang a song The rare old mountain dew I turned my face away And dreamed about you Got on a lucky one Came in eighteen to one Ive got a feeling This years for me and you So happy christmas I love you baby I can see a better time When all our dreams come true Theyve got cars big as bars Theyve got rivers of gold But the wind goes right through you Its no place for the old When you first took my hand On a cold christmas eve You promised me Broadway was waiting for me You were handsome You were pretty Queen of new york city When the band finished playing They howled out for more Sinatra was swinging, All the drunks they were singing We kissed on a corner Then danced through the night The boys of the nypd choir Were singing galway bay And the bells were ringing out For christmas day Youre a bum Youre a punk Youre an old slut on junk Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed You scumbag, you maggot You cheap lousy faggot Happy christmas your arse I pray God its our last I could have been someone Well so could anyone You took my dreams from me When I first found you I kept them with me babe I put them with my own Cant make it all alone Ive built my dreams around you Sing it loud....Play it loud hehhehe Link to comment

JonJon 0
I remember (sort of...it's a bit fuzzy) one St. Patty's day, me and a bunch of friends of mine grabbed as many Pogues cds as we could find and took over the campus bar. Good times....good times.... Currently I'm really digging Boysnightout. It makes me strangly happy which might seem odd as I've heard them described as a "Serial Killer Hardcore". /diablo Link to comment

Aurora 2
Just heard this song.....its a little corny but I think its cute I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair) by Sandy Thom Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair In 77 and 69 revolution was in the air I was born too late to a world that doesn’t care Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair When the head of state didn’t play guitar, Not everybody drove a car, When music really mattered and radio was king, When accountants didn’t have control And the media couldn’t buy your soul And computers were still scary and we didn’t know everything When popstars still remained a myth And ignorance could still be bliss And when God Save the Queen she turned a whiter shade of pale When my mom and dad were in their teen and anarchy was still a dream and the only way to stay in touch was a letter in the mail When record shops were on top and vinyl was all that they stocked and the super ********* was still drifting out in space kids were wearing hand me downs, and playing games meant kick arounds and footballers still had long hair and dirt across their face I was born too late to a world that doesn’t care Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair Link to comment
