I use Facebook, as it seems to be emerging as the front runner, or at least catching Myspace

I have facebook AND myspace... however I use myspace more often because facebook is too intrusive.

Ah well I stick to fora and msn to keep in touch with the ppl I want to stay in touch to.

I use myspace mostly to have a portal for my different musical projects. It's a great way to keep track of shows too.

 

I use facebook for keeping in touch with old friends (and the graffiti app is soooooo fun!)

 

I use trig.com for uploading music as well.

 

I use darkmatters.org for anything relating to pwnage.

Oh now that MSN is mentioned, ok I use MSN to stay in constant contact with younger family members, but always the phone for friends and family.

 

Somehow the art of speech and personal contact is on its way out, which is a sad indictment of our society, just too busy for anyone

Well in my case much has to do with a lack of any acceptable social setting! ! and there are very few people who I would want to associate with in RL in my town LOL! The friends I do have, I find no need to contact online because its simply not necessary when I can simply see them in person anytime.

I understand totally, we are in Sydney because of my Partner being headhunted to work here, all our family and friends we grew up with and socialised with are in Melbourne (an 8 hour drive and 1+hour plane trip)

 

We have a few friends here but nothing like the friends we have left behind, nothing compares to those friends that know you completely.

 

Actually part of the reason I started online gaming is because of the move to Sydney, my partner works long hours and it just filled in those times that I would either have been at the gym or with my friends in Melbourne (but let's not go there , I always get homesick thinking of it )

 

So it is always great to hear those familiar voices and have a laugh and a cry together on the phone

 

[edit] You won't believe it, just as I finished typing this post my mobile (cell) rang, it was a girlfriend I hadn't spoken to in months karma just love it

I have a my-space account, but have never updated it. I once had a friendster account but I got rid of it.

It's just darkmatters, SIF and Sacred/Underworld itself.

My wife is into all that social networking, which is fine. She uses it to keep in touch with her friends and family back in Indonesia--cheaper than long distance of phone cards.
