yoursoul 0
Does the choice of which god to pick matter? If so, which one would be good for a TG? Thanks Link to comment
stubbie 21
Good question........if only so someone can say that they actually use the god skill The only time I have bothered with it is when I accidently clicked on the G key Link to comment

I've only used it in an accident...though I do think if I could remember about it, I would use it more often. Certainly useful for Dragons and Bosses. My only tip here is to take A good Deity if you're playing MP... most peeps I know are playing Good characters, and so it's easy to party...remember in MP if you don't have the same alignment... you can't play together. Asuka Sohryu L. 0
Except accidental clicks, I've hardly used it at all (only with really tough bosses). Link to comment
Zinsho 0
Gogo, diety doesn't matter, you can take one of the 2 non-good dieties if you're good... just can't change your path choice. I tend to take the one with the lightning bolts... they're quite useful at healing/harming. Link to comment
inXi 0
I took Tesl ta because he seems to merge with the TG's image well... Edited January 3, 2009 by inXi Link to comment

Putrescine 11
Personally I like Kuan But that's more for the lulz than anything Link to comment
Knuckles 904
Same here...only use Godspell by accident. But if I were to choose one for actual use I'd go with Kybele or Kuan. I would never use Ker because the last thing I need if in trouble is another boss roaming around. Link to comment
ka243 3
I think the better question is which diety goes best with which type of build? Someone told me testa is a good choice for pure ranged builds and forens for pure melee builds (more chance to reflect damage). One thing that would be really great for the wiki would be a table of the god powers including: - Approximate animation time of the god power - Approximate duration of the god power without devine devotion - Notes on the effectiveness if known (like what % reflect is forens and what kind of damage does it actually reflect?) How much damage do the willow o wisps do? Stuff like that, I would really like to know... - Other comments (like testa's willo-o-wisps seem to hit allies and enemies (at least on the console versions this is true: it hits the shadow warrior skelletons).... Forens does not seem to reflect 100% of damage while active. You can get hit while casting god powers and it seems to me that you can't drink poitions while casting them. [Edit: Another question I wonder about is what makes the testa willow o wisps fire - do you have to swing a weapon or just be close to an enemy and does weapon type effect this? It seems to me that my willow o wisps had a longer range when I was using a ranged weapon than when I was using a melee weapon]... I'm thinking about making a magic coup/lightning bold high elf and wondering which diety to choose.... Edited August 24, 2009 by ka243 Link to comment
hsedai 0
I have Tesla and my wife has the nature god. both bugged up the PS3 when we used them. Enemies who won't die etc. had to get totally out of Sacred II and hop back in. Don't think either of us will purposely use a god power again until its fixed but I'm guessing that there will be thousands of little console bugs that won't be fixed. Link to comment

Have not had that problem at all with the xbox version. All the god powers I used seemed to "work" except for testa hitting my "pets" in addition to/instead of enemies sometimes which was weird and possibly not intentional. Admitedly this was on single player only. Not sure if the range of testa's power really depends on the range of the weapon you are using or if this is my imagination. Ansgar 0
I like Kuan for my melee TG because it works quite well as an oh s*** button when I am mobbed by a massive group that I can't handle or if my shield goes down unexpectedly. It also helps with a certain quest involving a TON of demons on the Seraphim islands. It is also a decent option when on an escort quest because if you know a big group ahead you can get them to fight each other and not your companion. It is also just really fun to watch a large group of enemies fight each other while you watch and bet on the outcome. Woot, my first post here! Edited August 24, 2009 by Ansgar Link to comment

Little Sara 1
I like the one that reflects damage. I already build my character to be highly evasive and highly reflective of combat damage, but the godspell can be great for boss fights. Overkill for anything else seriously. Link to comment
ka243 3
Testa seems to shoot more when you hit with weapons. I took her for the high elf because she had been good with all my other characters but I think it was an oops now... I think Forens is or Kuan would be vastly superior choices for the high elf. Distraction or reflection = good. Wisps that don't shoot very fast = bad. Link to comment
Chareos Rantras 0
I always stick with the same deity depending on my Alignment & Class GOOD: SW => Kuan Dryad => Kybele TG => Testa seraphim => God of Light (forgot name) EVIL always Kuan, for Dryad sometimes Kybele Link to comment
FrostElfGuard 9
God Powers are short term bonuses, with LOOOOOONG regens Lumen - Dazzle - stun+hurt evil Kybele - Infusion - high heal rate Forens - Inspiration - damage taken reflected Ker - Sakkara - demon hurts enemies... once short timer expires... comes after YOU! Testa - Will-o-wisp - heal wounds and aborb damage (S1 Vampiress's Bats anyone?) Kuan - Kuan's Breath - enrage all monsters + mark all as enemies (S1's Dark Elf Confusion) I've always chosen Forens (reflect)...but have never used it. (At least on purpose!) I like Kuan for my melee TG because it works quite well as an oh s*** button when I am mobbed by a massive group that I can't handle or if my shield goes down unexpectedly. When they fight each other, do you get XP, or is the XP just lost? Edited September 3, 2009 by FrostElfGuard Link to comment
Ansgar 0
If the enemies kill each other than the experience is lost. This is from memory because I am not home to do a quick test. Incidentally using the Kuan activation is the only way I have found that I can complete the "Desire for Unity" quest in the swamp area. Link to comment
