My Journey to level 200 on Closed Net HC

A good run to do :

In dryad Island, go on Slain Antaigh, and enter in the Girvym cave.

Kills monsters in this order :

Animals -> Bloodryads -> Elementals -> Mini dragons -> Dragon boss

Go out of the cave with the mini portal and re-enter in it to respawn everything : now you've the same number of monsters, and a new fresh dragon boss !

Mob-runs + Bossruns with good experience respawnable in the same cave !

 

The dragon respawns? I have run the cave and run it Clockwise ending with the Dragon. never thought the dragon would respawn.

 

that is where EP would have been a lifesaver. experience on gear enhanced by every point in EP makes a quick 200-300% XP kit. But.... that too has limits, and in the end you'll end up under 1K for most mobs.

 

How is that possible? or does the level gap shrink to almost nothing. what was the monsters level compared to your level Barris?

I just started my seraphim she's sitting on level 27 atm, ive been trying to get some set pieces and I've read your last posts loco and I see you are using almost full set of celestial because of the LL%, maybe ill choose the same.

I think that they were between 215 and 225... 215 for Guardians and Cursed forest mobs. The Temple Guardian's in the Heart of the machine were higher, and so were the spawns deeper in the cursed forest. They were always purple.

 

Oh I said -1K to scare you But really it goes down alot! If I remember correctly, I had some 25-30K from Guardians, and around 1500 to 2K from mobs that were higher in level. champs might have been 4-5K. Problem is that you start hitting area monster caps... and at that point every level you gain, the XP drops.

 

Remeber to level on full servers.... that helps most.

 

So, depending on where you go, -1K is very possible

I dinged 122 tonight. @ 132hrs according to the Total Time played.

 

Picked up my Warding Energy Mastery today. All total I have about 57K in shield energy. It was a good day, I finished the Niob Campaign by level 120. and then ran the entire Crystal plains hitting all the quests I could find along the way. Ran out of poop just before the Phoenix. No instant RIPs! woo hoo!

 

Set drops have been perfect. I am not sure, but it seems like if you wear a certain set, more of that set seems to drop. I have all Niob level 135-150 pieces for Celestial on. except gloves. I switch between conversion to Ice and Fire depending on were I am. Fire seems to do well over all. with 3 peeps on the server, kills are taking 1 Combat Art hit on normal monsters and 3 or 4 on Champs. champs I see have 150K HP. normal monsters about 45K.

 

I am at 200 runes on BFG, Dashing Alricity, Divine Protection. About 143 on Warding Energy buff, 125 on Battle stance. I am gonna master Rev tech focus next to increase the Combat Art levels on BFG and Warding Energy. I will get bumps to Damage and Defense from this. That will leave Exalted Focus and Toughness left to master. I should have those mastered by about level 150 I guess.

 

I have been thinking seriously about going back into my camp and running the epic office quest. That should provide lots of grinding with a direction and purpose. At least If I do it now before the XP goes to hell. at least now I get 9K XP for monsters 20k XP for Champs. But XP between levels is hitting 9 million or so.

If I remember correctly here is that I had 9 masteries at level 152 with Concentration still at 1.

Well, I had a decent day today and just dinged level 129, mastered Revered Focus, and all three buffs are at 200 runes. Next, I will master Exalted Focus and start adding runes to Pelting strike which is only at level 6. I'm kinda bummed that the BFG weapon maxed out at level 200, the mods and bonuses continue to scale however. XP from kills has started to fall off the last few levels. uggh! at least the quest XP keeps growing.

 

I'm still hunting for a routine. the Cursed Forest offers nice quest XP, I may spend some more time up in the Crystal plains. seems interesting at least to run and new area for a while. full servers are really gonna be needed here soon. I was able to run with Woody through the whole chain and that got me 1 level.

Thx Barris. +all skills with DB, DOT, damage XX-XX, max warding energy, xp per kill, and then about 5 of then can have junk for my buff weapon and shield.

Made it to Level 136 today!

 

I had a heck of ride-along with Barris on Monday night. He had his level 163 seraphim dual and we paired up to do some grinding. We ran the boars, grunwald (including the dragon) and the wastelands. Everything was going great, I had no issues at all with the overleveled monsters, well that is until Barris had to say something. We had just entered the machine, and he sends a message that read something like" are you ok with the enemy levels?". I hadn't been paying any attention to the levels. Everything was dropping so fast and I hadn't even taken a hit that my HP regen and LL didn't correct instantly. So my reply was something like "We're cool here, let keep going!"

 

Note: When a more experienced player asks you if the levels of enemies are ok, They are trying to warn you!

 

So off we go into the machine. 1st guardian drops quick, then the 2ND, and the 3rd. Hey look at that! they are level 190! Holy Crap! But, cool right?

 

So far I have been kinda standing back shooting while Barris is up close with his melee weapons. Next comes the fourth! and crap he is all over me. 75K in warding energy buff is gone. I am firing, I think.... and I see damage numbers going up. that's good! And Additional Damage of 53K so as long as I am hitting I should be ok. I only have 22K HP so ...... Crap! I smack the health bar for the first time in days. and then again and then, screw this! I hit G and flash! bang! Barris finishes him off. phew! "Ok that scared me" I say. My heart eventually started beating again, or slowed down enough I could recognize the individual heart beats.

 

I think I can hear Barris giggling at me from all the way across the Atlantic!

LOL! After this story yes Whew, I did not know you even flashed Better to have them Guardians attack me Loco....

 

I just had to ask... cuz I knew my SB was kinda high.. and enemies had been high since I joined you in wastelands... they got even higher within the machine.

 

Ok Ok! Giggling now.... tho I would have been sad if it were more than a red flash!

Hey welcome to the forum and thanks for the post!

 

Well I guess its been a week or so since I posted. Lets see..... She is at level 146 now I think. about 4 or 5 more levels and I will have my 9th skill mastery.

 

She is doing about 35K damage per hit, with 60% deathblow so I see 70K per hit on champs. And it actually doesn't seem like enough since the 4 guardians have over 2,000,000 hp. I have been grinding still, with +50% xp per kill I get from champ orcs about 22K xp with 4 in a server. champ daemons in wasteland are 33K xp. So as long as I still get that kind of XP I am grinding. the Cursed Forest is good for XP too. I can run the first 13 quest points in about 30 Min and get 4- 5 million xp if I shoot everything is sight.

 

Challenges are few and far between at this point. I will do an inventory of current gear or post some screen shot of my sigma the next time I get her out to level a bit.

Great work, loco I'm glad to see that BFG girl is suiting your gameplay nicely. I'd also like to congratulate you on your perseverance - it's hard to get to 200 with all those XP requirements and the reduced XP from mobs, but you're doing really well.

Well it's been a few days since an update. So let's see....

 

I am at level 150. I have 8 mastery skills and 1 more level to get the last one ( I won't add any more than 1 point to Ranged). After that I have no idea what I should put points into.

 

I have been experimenting with RpH, and I don't care for it on this build. the lag and projectile flight time is just way too long to wait for the regen. So I am at 1.6 Seconds on Pelting Strike regen and working to get it back down to 0.5.

 

My defense seems rock solid. with 157K in energy shield and all the chance to evade, chance to reflect close combat, chance to reflect combat arts and all channel mitigation. I don't take much damage that 2.4% LL doesn't instantly take care of.

 

My damage is great, but more would be better.

 

As for playing, I have been spending most of my time running the Cursed forest. with 200K per quest mark I can level well there. but XP per kill is really dying off without peeps on the server.

 

I will have to take some screen shots of all my menus for the next post.

It has been a while since I have visited this thread, but after putting back a crispy crunch milkshake before bed, I found myself hungry for a good read, and your thread filled that hunger.

 

I haven't taken a seraphim above the level 74 mark after being so dissapointed with the way the guns were targeting early game release...but with everyone posting about seraphims lately, it makes me think that the time to give it a go again could be soon.

 

I hear you about the experience tapering off...but for the last fifteen levels of your, perhaps you"ll have the new dryad trader with you for the last l'il bit as she comes in sprinting for the last fifteen levels to 165 ^^

That's a good idea, there are times during evenings when my accounts aren't doing anything, and I'm either watching a movie ore eating,cooking or something... Loco if you do a call out during when yer on, if my toons not in game, I would love to loan it.

It's been a while since I posted here.

 

I made level 153 last night. Furian had to put up with me and my 2 xp mules on a Niob server. But he struggled through it until I got my level. I played the deamons in the wasteland and at least 3 or 4 of them hit me with the LL and zapped me for about 1/3 of my health. 2 shots with my LL and they were dead and my health was back to full.

 

I have all nine masteries now.(don't need to master Ranged because of the bonus from BeeEffGee) I think I will boost my Focuses up to Char level. With the 200 rune cap this seems the best way to raise my Combat Art levels. And that should lower my regens a lot. both from the Focus regen bonus and from the lower buff penalties.

I just wanted to drop a note to let everybody know that my Gran Canon is still alive and well. I haven't forgotten about her.

 

Since I have been in a guide writing mood lately I made a few formating changes to the first post. I will add more detail and edits as I get back to her. I haven't given up on here but I am really excited about my latest HE project Loco's [D.a.r.k] Piromante. And a new one I am just starting.

 

I'll come back to her soon and stretch her legs a little further towards 200.
