  1. Good thing you bumped this one gogo - I missed it. How's this? EDIT: could not resist the sig also:
  2. I don't know how long this exists, but certainly a new discovery for me... so pardon if it's old news for some... Did you know that while a Youtube video loads (for those of us on slow connections), while the little loading icon is spinning 'round, you can use your cursor keys to initiate a snake game with it! :cha (18):
  3. Merry x-mas! My new avy could be a sunset... with leaves or a yellow snow cone... with leaves or a sunset behind a yellow snowcone... with leaves Edit: I also had only the 2 skini options. Changed it from IP Board to Dark Fluidic and back again, but now the whole Christmas theme is gone...
  4. It's probably only for the quests you've already completed on that character, so you probably wouldn't be able to bring a new character into a game where they're just about to start the final quest to rush them into the next difficulty... Point taken - it makes sense not to allow new characters a shortcut...
  5. That is an interesting take on "things"! This option would have been great in Sacred 2 and really would cut a lot of time out of the campaign run in gold! If I could start Silver, say at Gar'Colossus and Gold at Garganthopod that would save 20 hrs easy! I'm sure with good enough gear one could beat Garganthopod at level 50ish in gold? sorry - straying off topic here... back to D3 - Tell us more about your likes and dislikes Llama!
  6. Oh this is one that I would love to play - but the monthly subscription is what puts me out of the race here... But this is a game that really should have monthly subscriptions - new content will reside a lot on story and voice acting! Perhaps, someday...
  7. Ahh Scott - I did not realize your reference to the formulae after a moment or two of posting my response, but thought I'd leave it up there for other people's info... Here's one mod that I would love to see in action: Lilith The will of Demon It's basically a totally new game!
  8. Bearded dwarphim:) Noooooooooo! Per Scott's suggestion: if they go even further back in time to the "first" seraphim, then perhaps they could give her a total angelic look and feel? That is with proper wings and the ability to fly (flying like the Demon in S1). CA to summon other angelic beings into combat like the SW skelies, or even just a buff like Rotating Blades/Angels of Light. Focus more on the power of nature with lightning and water.
  9. S1 had me hooked far longer than Sacred 2, I feel that I've had my share of Sacred 2 - tried this tried that, done this, done that... S1 just kept me coming back for more every time. I guess it's because I liked the overall selection of characters better. I never really was a master of Dark Elf, Gladiator, Vampire or Dwarf, but I gave them all a solid run and enjoyed it. Playing on PS3 I'll never get to try the Dragon Mage, but I've only really enjoyed playing with the Seraphim, High Elf and Inquisitor (to an extent). It just feels longer to get a build off the ground and if things go wrong then all that time is wasted. I could more easily recover a badly started build in S1 with the better equipment boni offered. I think I just felt the effects of xp points spent better in S1 than in Sacred 2? To be honest I think the smaller world also worked better. But Sacred 2 remains a great game.
  10. Mount armor or upgradable mounts... that's it ! I want to turn my bunny mount into the 6 Million Dollar Hare! Bigger, Better, Faster! with 6 legs of course.
  11. I really liked the Wood Elf and hope for a similar ranged character return. But GW2 has me hooked on the idea of different skills available for different weapons and I think it would be great to have different skills for short bow and long bow, rather than just the rate of fire and attack values having any effect. now this is probably a long shot wish since one might say that you'd need new skills for every weapon and rather just play GW2, but perhaps not so impossible. In Sacred 1 a few combat arts could be shared between various toons like Hard Hit and Multiple Hit. So every class could perhaps have one or two weapon specific CAs - unarmed, small arms, single handed, two handed, mid range, long range. @ two additional CAs each, this is 12 additional CAs which every class has access to. Seraphim returning is a must IMO - be it good or evil. Just minus the BFG please. But there are several RTS games that feature characters I've yet to see all in one RPG - earth history warriors like Samurai, Musketeer, Guerilla Warfare, Apache, Pirate. Add a few magic spells (visually upgradable please) here and there and you'd have something people can relate to and not be overly critical about, since you'll probably get what you expect.
  12. There are some items that help fighting Typhon around him, but I found him difficult with my first Nature only toon but not as much with any consecutive toons (I think I was more prepared mentally)... It could also have had something to do with the much improved frame rate due to the lack of pets! Two wolves and a Nymph was just too much for my old coal driven pc! But the add-on (Immortal Throne) is great and it is a definite acquisition if you can afford/find it. And the sooner the better, because there is the addition of the Artifact equipment slot and you get the recipes of these during gameplay and as drops IIRC. You also get one-time scrolls and the extra Dream Mastery skill, which I loved. Unfortunately my CDs have gone missing during my move to the new house, but there are tons of mods that seem worth while.... which I never got to experience
  13. and they say this is a "lieutenant" dragon and not one of the bigger dragons in the game ^^ I just can't wait for the release!
  14. It's actually a bit bad in the sense that if this is your first time 'round in gold and things suddenly get tricky, you start doubting your build... easy, easy, little challenging, OMG !! where did I go wrong?
  15. back to the 80s! and found this rather nice remix of one of my all time favourite bands The Sisters of Mercy!
  16. That just sucks big time! I took me many years to get a proper salary and I'm still feeling underpaid - I'm daily doing people's work for them when they are at a higher pay grade than me... hang in there, Jun - I'm not the world's most spiritual guy, but I believe that sometimes things just happen as they should, but unfortunately is always only revealed with a 30day hindsight waiting period... and yeah, Anders, I think that manual labour (by the sounds of what you're doing) and teachers are totally underpaid in general.
  17. Congrats!! Hope you enjoy the Cape, maaan Remember getting out of bed before 9am is considered a felony...
  18. Found these to get acquainted: Character Creation Tool Skills Tool
  19. Thanks - I thought as much. But with GW2 (hopefully) only released sometime in 2012, I guess that with all the reading I'm doing atm, I will have a very good understanding of the entire GW1 gameworld in any case! I wonder if it won't be worth my while to get a copy of GW1? I'd hate to have played it half way before GW2 is released, but I'd also hate if GW2 is only released, say 4th Q 2012 and I could have had a good GW1 innings? I'll see how work goes this December and make the call...
  20. I read an article/blog yesterday where the person was ranting on and on about "new" players suddenly taking on GW1 just to get as many items for the Hall of Monuments as possible and basically missing the whole game experience because of their rush to gain items. Well, I don't mind loosing out on any Hall of Monuments items, but I left GW1 alone just for the reason that I don't want to suddenly go rushing through the game just in time for the GW2 release. But will I seriously be missing out on story? I think that GW2 would be a "stand alone" story with some historical tie-backs to the original game, but ArenaNet are obviously aiming to draw as many new players to their game as possible and I think they won't let all us new players get the impression that we're loosing out on context/story because we did not play the original? I'm not saying that GW1 and GW2 won't have history/story in common, but I think it will be such that the players of GW1 get the "complete" experience, but that new gamers won't feel that they're getting an "incomplete" experience? That said, I just can't wait for this game to be released! It really sounds like the type of game that I've been waiting for all along. And even the PvP looks awesome! I always had this idea of PvP about some random person passing by and jumping up and down to challenge me to a duel (which I always lost in RoM). It just feels like this all the time: That's just no fun, although I know that there are dedicated PvP servers, but trying your hand at PvP with low-level characters was even less fun. But GW2 seems to get it spot on with pre-set PvP levels and the zone control idea (I'm sure there's gonna be other types). And the WvWvW also sounds brilliant. I think I'll be spending most of my time in the PvE environment, but by the sounds of it some person from your server might be busy in WvWvW and when in need of assistance, might give a call to arms to the PvE players and then you can quickly switch over to assist. The great thing is that you can assist in any way - you don't need to be the highest level with the best gear and most finely tuned build to get your hands dirty in WvWvW! You just slot in and do whatever you can to assist! I'm still pondering this dynamic event system. It's a really great idea, but I just hope that I don't miss too much of these by arriving at the scene moments after the final blow has landed, or arriving late and missing the whole intro to the event. Or running right past the event start point 5 minutes before it actually starts and missing out on the whole thing all together... I'm sure it won't turn out like that, but it's just a concern. Another (small but great) idea is that you can craft your existing item's properties into a new itme you found that looks a whole lot better than your current equipped item. In Sacred 2 I sometimes switch over to "lesser" gear, just because it looks so much better, but no need to loose properties anymore! Still looking forward to see if they will make airship guild halls.
  21. Well, there is the notice "All items are examples of what may appear in Diablo III. They are not final. Expect more rainbows..." Just a little something to water the mouth I suppose, but I like the concept of items adding +x random properties. That will make a lot of uniques even more unique and you can always look forward to finding that unique that is perfectly suited to you toon. ... says he that will not be playing this game...
