  1. I have one answer and it will answer both your questions: All you need to do is change the lines in balance.txt and that will increase the drops from both enemies and quests. No need to edit drop.txt. ZRareExpectation15 = 2, ZRareExpectation14 = 6, ZRareExpectation13 = 14, ZRareExpectation12 = 16,
  2. Is that real money? Is the real money auction house even still open?
  3. scripts/server/balance.txt http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/topic/18409-sacred-2-balancetxt/
  4. And...phew! Temple Guardian Combat Arts are done! In the next day or two I still need to go back and add some skills that I forgot and do some minor formatting, but for the most part, this big ol' Combat Arts project is DONE! WOOOO! Devout Guardian Dedicated Blow Battle Extension Deathly Spears Combat Alert T-Energy Shroud (Buff) Lost Fusion Amplifying Discharge Furious Emblazer Jolting Touch Archimedes Beam Propelled Levitation Source Warden Primal Mutation Fiery Ember Icy Evanescence Charged Grid Untouchable Force (Buff) Finally, the last time I'll have to report on the weird effects of the Lore skills. Though tomorrow I might make a new post for general interest compiling all the unusual effects. For the TG they are: Tactics Lore: Combat Alert - Increases the hitpoint regeneration of the "Repair" modification. T-Energy Shroud - Improves the block warding energy value, increases in-combat shield regeneration of the "Recharge" modification. Lost Fusion Lore: Jolting Touch: Increases life leech effect from the "Life Leech" modification.Source Warden Lore: Charged Grid: Increases the Healing effect.
  5. Seem legit to me. They also parodied that on Metalocalypse:
  6. I don't play in Bronze except for maybe the first 5 levels of a character's life, just to get some basic equipment, CA's and skills going before exporting and starting the real game in Silver. In Silver, I know that the Cursed Forest's level cap is roughly on par with Dyr-Lain (Dryad Island), so I usually go there after the Jungle and before Dyr-Lain. Crystal Plane's level cap is the highest of all the regions, so I usually save it for last, either right before or during the Wastelands. Level-wise, my characters are all over the place, but for the expansion areas I'd say 50-70 is fine. Again, this is Silver I'm talking about. I've never gone to the expansion areas right at the start of the campaign in Silver, but I would bet it would be too hard. I have done it in Gold, because I've had a few characters I kept in Silver too long and they were getting too high a level for Silver (like high 70's) so moved them over to Gold before tackling the Ice and Blood areas. Then I did the Crystal Plane right off and it was super tough. Generally the reason I save them for the end of a campaign is because with the high level caps and massive XP you can get, it can push you ahead of the other regions' level caps. This isn't much of an issue in Gold or higher, but in Silver (and I guess Bronze) it's easy to hit those level caps.
  7. I think the +level value in the table means you can enhance an item that many levels higher than your own character level. For example, if your character was level 100 with level 1 Blacksmith skill, he could only enhance items with a level no higher than 100 (because that is his character level). Higher levels of the Blacksmith skill will boost this limitation, so with maxed out Blacksmith skill, he could enhance items up to 100 levels higher than his character level (I.e., level 200 items). So to be able to enhance the highest level equipment possble (level. 252 items), you could do so with character at level 152 and maxed out Blacksmith.
  8. Very impressive. This is the next best thing to filling in the pages.
  9. Should be 890. Try adding a bonusgroup line to the item with these values: {890,1150,1,9,0}, Those are the values from Kaldur's Legacy. As before, increasing the second number should enhance the effect.
  10. Thank you. Empty pages are sad - especially when they're probably high traffic pages (I would assume they are). Would be nice if I could see the visits to the various Wiki pages. With no real indication that anyone's even seeing your work it's easy to start to feel like you're working in a vacuum or something.
  11. 1/3 of the way through TG Combat Arts. But, I realized just now I didn't put Speed Lore or Damage Lore in the "Skills that affect this combat art" section for ANY pages, so I'm going back through them all and doing that now. And also cleaning up a few formatting issues, adding links, info, etc. I'm trying to remember a time when I wasn't working on CA pages... Probably will be time for another break after this project is done.
  12. I like that idea a lot. In fact if it's approved I nominate SX255 for the project!
  13. Yeah, but remember Veracious said that to begin with (with his full ~50% survival bonus) the Queen was only 1 level above him (my guess is he was probably hitting the region level cap since the caps in Bronze are so low). By losing his survival bonus, he knocked her down only a single level, but he lost major bonuses to attributes.
  14. I don't know why Sacred 1 info is so lacking. Maybe it just never got filled in because Sacred 2 was new and took precedence, but also I noticed Timotheus mentioned recently that it looked like a lot of info got lost, maybe from when the Wiki was down, or for some other reason. Around 2006-2007 I remember heavily using Wolfe's Lair for its quest walkthroughs (at least I think that was the site, I remember a wiki-like site with detailed walkthroughs for Underworld). Regardless, looking at it now I agree there is a ton of valuable info and great work done there. I can't find the thread but it wasn't that long ago that I think Lisa gave permission to use Wolfe's Lair content on SacredWiki. I think the situation is this though: she's not actively maintaining the site, I think Spock is actually hosting it himself. And, until Wolfe's Lair is actually ready to be taken down, Gogo and Schot don't want to start to using the content on the Wiki. About plagiarism - I would assume it's a big NO.
  15. Oh, ok that makes more sense. I always thought since she was a student she meant she was going to get a graduate degree (Ph.D=5 year program), and nothing was going to stop her.
  16. I hope you weren't serious about this because I kicked into overdrive and got Dryad CA's finished up! This was another group of pages that has had lots of great attention from past workers (oh, how I'd love a stats chart like the one on Ancient Bark for every CA page!), so for me mostly it was links, formatting, galleries, and some additional info. This means all that's left is the Temple Guardian CA's and then I finish this project! Capricious Hunter Ravaged Impact Darting Assault Forest Flight Dust Devil Sinister Predator (Buff) Cabalistic Voodoo Twisted Torment Viperish Disease Black Curse Malicious Totem Moribund Animus (Buff) Nature Weaver Edaphic Lances Tangled Vine Goldenglade Touch Acute Mind Ancient Bark (Buff) And we can't forget unique effects of the Lore Skills! Tactics Lore: no unusual effects on Capricious Hunter CA's Cabalistic Voodoo Lore: Moribund Animus: Increases the hireling's armor bonus from the "Stone Skin" modification.Nature Weaver Lore: Goldenglade Touch: Improves the Hitpoint Regeneration effect. Ancient Bark: Improves the Hitpoint Regeneration effect, improves the physical and poison Armor resistances.
  17. I'm pretty sure at the very least all the scripts in the "Server" folder have to match up for two people to play together, no matter the type of connection. Probably more, too. If I changed a bunch of spells and items, but you didn't, whose files would control what the items and spells did? It might depend on who hosted the game, but more likely I bet it wouldn't even let the two people join up. That's the point of the making sure the versions match up, because the files need to match up. As for single player, chatting with people online is no problem. We can talk til the sun comes up. But I don't like playing games like this with other people. I dunno why, they just spoil it. I like to control the pace and the tone of the experience. I don't need easily distracted boneheads messing me up or letting me down, asking me questions or getting lost or always needing help, and conversely I also don't want to deal with someone who thinks they know everything and wants to control everything and won't help me. One of those two types of people is my experience with online play.
  18. Some of those difficulty stars are totally wonky. I think there's one quest in Artamark that involves just walking somewhere and it has "4 stars" rofl.
  19. That's a wicked set of enemies you have to fight at the end of that quest. I've had very many close calls fighting Mazzagon. I never figured out what exactly they were doing that caused me so much damage...I was too busy trying to survive and swallow my heart.
  20. Sorry, but I don't. I don't really like playing with other people, and the other things is all my files and scripts are personally modded to heck and back.
  21. It would be useful info for the Survival Bonus modifier page. I'm not mathematically-minded enough to make anything out of the data, except that diminishing returns suck. To me the satisfying part of the whole affair was successfully modifying an item's bonuses.
  22. I would assume attributes. Between level 1-49 One attribute point is gained per level up. Between level 50-149 Two attribute points are gained per level up. Between level 150-200 Three attribute points are gained per level up.
  23. Ayup. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6dnJV_74z7jMkV5aTFrY2NTcEU/edit?usp=sharing
  24. Well, I'm looking at the editor now, and no, it doesn't look like there's anything like that. But what might work is starting with a copy of Bringer of Light to begin with, rather than a random one-handed sword. That way you can just make copies of it, adjusting only the levels. That way you won't have to worry about adding the right bonuses.
