  1. Thanks, so they just really rare. No problems, I guess if I hadn't stopped playing game 4 years ago I might have some of them by now. I have about 10 Boneslicers in my shared bank space so I don't need them and since I play a DW Shadow Warrior, the axe you get at end of that chain is pointless. I have the cm patch installed already, so saves chasing the codes. I don't know why I put my psn code in, as I never played Sacred 2 on ps3 since I knew the pc version was better (and didn't have a ps3 until after I stopped playing Sacred 2). Maybe if Unbended was ever released on PS4, that code would make sense here
  2. The voice over thing was bad enough in Diablo 3, who thought it was a good idea to have in sacred 3? Perhaps its added to obscure the boring combat.. lets annoy people so much with voice overs they won't notice the game is boring. I watched the end to this game yesterday, last stage is 3 mini bosses followed by the big guy. Whole game is stages with very few save points, so it gets to the stage you die right at end of level and have toi replay it all, all the stupid voice overs, all the silly mini cut scenes. Its an exercise in frustration. I feel all the positive reviews on steam and Metacritic are from either people new to franchise or people who work for Keen games. Its a pointless exercise as they overwhelmed by negative reviews. I feel sorry for Keen in a way as they were given a series that was clearly above their ability, or maybe they just didn't get enough time/resources to even attempt it. As for Deep Silver, they have no one to blame but themselves.
  3. Why don't people ever use Google search and just ask instead? I am not having a go at you Gogo, but it happens everywhere on the internet. SweetFX SweetFX is a universal image improvement and tweaking mod, that works with almost any 32-bit DirectX 9, 10 or 11 game or application. This software is made by Guru3D's own CeeJay.dk and as will be supported here on Guru3D.com to the fullest extend. The goal of this software is to provide similar tools to games in realtime, as video processing software provides for movies and videos. You will need some technical grasp to be able to work with this software though. As such we recommend you to read the information below carefully.
  4. I seem to recall we used to have a comp on the old sacred 2 forums where people would post a pic and we would have to tell them where it was taken. Play the game enough and you start to recognise it all. About only part I wouldn't know back then was the multiplayer start zone since I always played offline.
  5. Are most of them just random drops? I know about Boneslicer and the ones you get at end of character quest chain, but where do rest come from? I am referring the ones showing on http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php/Sacred_2:Legendary_Database Its a tough call trying to remember this game after 4 years away. I couldn't even remember the button to heal myself (lucky a friend remembered it was space bar). What's the story about unlockable weapons? I saw a post about them but the link in post is long dead.
  6. I played sacred 2 for 2 1/2 years, I have over 400 screen shots, I wouldn't know where to begin There is so much in game to be found, the car museum for instance. Anyone want a T Shirt? Map does the strangest things (also includes a Easter egg) Does Xmas island still exist? Gogo still pantless? Buffs go through bridges
  7. I watched a video or two of the game, I saw the event with the switch that needs to be hit 6 times, then later I found out that this event is repeated multiple times, and worked out I had seen almost all the game. There are only 3 monster types... (yells expletives), this game has no depth. The reviews by Jim Sterling & Total Biscuit are all you need to watch to have seen half the game. This and Sacred Citadel feel like an attempt to kill the series. It was already dead, this is stomping on its grave. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the makers of Unbended tried to get name and this is DS response. Its just as well Unbended has another name as the Sacred name is now tarnished. I watched Dobri's Youtube video just now.
  8. I don't think there is a company as such, the team page doesn't show any particular company name (it might, I can't read German): http://www.unbended.zone/en/team/ Looks like they are free lancing the project. I assume you have been there already, I would have guessed you had the mayor pack already.
  9. Its pretty sad that the genre is being ignored. Torchlight 2 is okay but its too short, especially in comparison to Sacred 2. You can finish entire story in just over 2 days, and while I will be first to say story means nothing, the speed at which you can clear the maps means I always feel like I am in same zones. Diablo 3 was a slap in face, I had waited 8 years for it and was not amused by what was released. The expansion has corrected a lot of its faults, so its not as bad as it was at launch. The AH is gone now, it feels more like Diablo 2. I am getting it on PS4 in a few weeks time, give it a final chance. Path of Exiles isn't bad but I find the combat is very clunky, melee classes are annoying to play and ranged is somewhat easier. The tree is amazing but its not enough to keep me playing it. I tried Van Helsing a year or so ago, should look at it again. I can't think of any more of the top of my head.
  10. As I said in email response, I was going to message you before I set up the clone but couldn't see anyway to do it.
  11. Four years since my last post in here (how time flies). Sacred 2's map size may not be as big as some but the fact its all hand drawn makes up for it, I feel. It still holds its ground after 6 years. Huge maps with nothing in them is a waste of time. The pattern seems to be to make a massive world but very few people get the right density. Fallout games are close, the map size might be too small but you can't go far without running into an event. I have seen a map of minecraft, its massive.. but as Varanca said, its just an sandpit, not an actual playable space. Its big enough to let others create entire worlds in it.
  12. Nothing worse than playing a class after 2+ years and forgetting the build order... So I will add my question on here. Trying to work out what my last two skills would be: level 49 SW Tactics Lore MC Focus DW Focus Concentration Dual Wield Armor Lore Constitution Combat Reflexes. This is my 3rd (or more) Shadow Warrior, I used to know the build order backwards. I don't think I was making this into a BS, its so hard to tell. Guess I should take toughness, currently running around in Silver and since I have 18 characters full of gear, I am not suffering from a lack of armor or weapons, or anything.
  13. As an ex Sacred 2 player myself, I feel your pain. There are two types of reviews for this game, the first type is from people who never played the original and judge game based on its merits, and the second type is all the people who remember the first two games and are crucifying it for what its left out. I had been looking for info on this game for the last few weeks, the general lack of game play videos was a worry. Then they release game before the review embargo is over, as a means of getting people to buy it blind. All Sacred 3 has achieved is open my eyes to Unbended and get me to buy Sacred 2 gold again off Steam (I only stopped playing cause I couldn't find my install key for the expansion, and had to walk away from a game I enjoyed). Does the community patch work with steam version?
  14. Having a Seraphim in your game and having the old classes as spirits does not make this a Sacred game. All the things they excluded are why its not a Sacred game. I wasn't expecting much but this is beyond my imagination. I am glad I didn't buy this, all the talk of Sacred has done is make me rebuy Sacred 2 gold and replay it again. I read you can finish Sacred 3 in 10 hours and do all the quests, you can't even get out of region one in Sacred 2 (if you do all the side quests anyway) in that time. People on Steam say its dumbed down for consoles. No, this is a mobile game, consoles can handle Diablo 3, they can handle more than 2 attacks at once, they can handle inventories too, and open world maps. This is an Android game. I may appear new here but I have played Sacred 2 before. I actually registered here again to see your opinions on this game. Its nice to see all the old faces are still here
  15. I am not really back, it just looked odd. I was looking for an answer to a question on SIF about chance to hit on 2 handed axes and wasn't looking at descriptions, just stats... thought I had found an axe with the stat but it was actually a pair of pants. That is what made me think it was wrong. After making 6 or so SW, I think I know they are SW only, but not everyone has played as long as I did.
  16. Hi, remember me:) I haven't been around but was trying to answer question on sif and noticed that you can see all the SW armour under the hafted weapons here: 2 handed hafted Is that intentional? As I said, not been around so don't know I like the new/old forum style
  17. Considering I spent several years after I stopped playing Diablo2 looking for a replacement for it, and it wasn't easy to do. Plenty of clones, none of them very good. Sacred fixed that for a while, as has Sacred 2. But Sacred lacks one thing that made diablo 2 easy to play long term, random dungeons. Not just caves full of spiders, actual areas you fear to tread. Once you run through Sacred 2 a few times you can guess where you are on map without looking, every cave is always the same though there are an awful lot of them. Torchlight had random dungeons but only 3 classes, and shared skills, so it got boring once you hit max level you can do in unlimited dungeon... not bad for a cheap game though. One advantage D3 has is surprise, apart from the inside shots, very little is known of how it looks outside, and there is no guarantee the videos we have seen are in game. They can make their competitors think game looks 1 way so all the cheap clones come out, then have a diferent look altogether on release.
  18. I can understand why no one has every taken a picture of those 2 items, they are so repulsive that my immediate response is to sell them... but that is reaction from most quest rewards. Even boneslicer, but then I counted them recently and I have about 8 boneslicers now (probably more, I have 20 different characters... maybe I pay someone to sit there and list all my items one day)
  19. I have watched video 4 times today, it looks like a fun class. I knew last class was going to be ranged as it was the only class not already there. I never played a Dryad but I was a Wood Elf in Sacred. I was going to buy Diablo 3 regardless of what last class was.
  20. It was an observation, not really a complaint. It can be a pain if you have full bags already, something of a curse I have. Even restricting what rings/amulets I carry, I am lucky to have half the bag empty.
  21. Why do half the fist weapons now require hafted lore? It is nice to give them an alternative but surely if given a choice between an axe & a fist weapon, you would take the axe as they normally do more damage per hit. It just makes it hard when you have sword/dual wield and all you get are fist weapons that want hafted instead. I also got a seraphim shield with grim resilience on it. See: And a light sabre but its not as nice as the one listed: It too came from the Crop Circles quest but it fell off the Alien.
  22. Slightly offtopic: Why does the helm from this set Pandamonium's Pride have Absorption Warding Energy when as far as I know, the Shadow Warrior has no shields?
  23. The only times I ever see my god is if I accidentally summon it. Dying a few times to Sakara was enough to make me always choose another god at character creation. EP is addictive but I find it can be overpowering sometimes, when you just want to go and kill things you may not want to have to deal with a flood of unique/set items. I agree that main reason I keep playing is the hope I find something awesome.
  24. Trying to remember back to Oct 2008, I think my 1st was a TG, I remember getting as far as the portal near Wargfels and finding a rare pistol and restarted a Inquisitor who went on to conquer world (though in bronze and he died once, fighting a dragon) but I knew he wasn't going to last long in Silver as he took 30 minutes killing the guardians. I can't remember his skills, but I know they were wrong If you want to go full nostalgia, my 1st character was probably a Wood Elf, but that is another story.
  25. Amazing to see someone using ruinous onslaught. Speed lore is an odd one, run speed can be gained from item bonuses and attack speed doesn't take long to reach max anyway. Poles are fun, almost as fast as dual wield and you can go a long way just using Frenzied Rampage. I got mine to platinum before I got bored, and started another class. Sw lack bargaining but make up for it with sheer persistence. Hard to kill, they just grind their way to good items. They aren't a class you can rush game with unless you have a good stock of armour/weapons waiting for them.
