Riddle for the Day

Woke up to the Clock radio and first thing on was riddle for the day, so thought I would share, lets see who gets it correct

 

What Am I

 

Peel the outside

Cook the inside

Eat the outside

Throw away the inside

what's a corn dog? Nevermind, looked it up and no it isn't a corndog (they actually look disgusting is it a hotdog in batter?)

How about leg of lamb?

 

Peel the outside - take off the skin

Cook the inside - the remainig meat and bone

Eat the outside - the meat

Throw away the inside - the bones.

 

I know this is too generic. There must be something I'm missing.

 

and, yes, a corndog is battered hotdog deep fried. But the Pronto-Pup, available at the Minnesota State Fair, is a special, and by far the best, corndog ever.

No corndoy is not disgusting. Its a hotdog fried with a corn dip-mix, on a stick. Crunchy outside and soft inside.

 

I love a lemonade with it. Its not very oily either if the mix is good. Try it someday, its not anything close to being terrible. It tastes better than it looks.

 

As for the riddle, it is a kind of food right?

 

Apple? But the cooking doesn't work with fruit. Um...

Lol, myles first guess showed me the correct answer, since I didn't see the dog part and thought of corn.

 

It makes sense,

 

Peel the outside - the husk

Cook the inside - the cob + grains

Eat the outside - grains

Throw away the inside - the cob

 

So the answer must be corn.

That or my guess is on the same level as gial's lamb leg.

Not a fan of hotdog, you never really no what goes into making them, and deepfrying them, well it spells WRONG

And as to Hot Dog - I bleive the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture which sets food quality standards) has specific limits for various contaminating items in hotdog contents, including both human hair and mouse feces. Blecch!
