  1. That is what I meant, and lista is a typo for lists. Sorry for the confusion. And if you have that many scrolls, I suspect some are duplicates, but again my memory is dim. PS: My link to the SIF is broken - perhaps it no longer is available
  2. if you search the SIF, you should find a topic that lista all of the scrolls. If I recall correctly, I think the number was 129. It's been a long time, though.
  3. Perhaps, but Titanium has a lower value than gold or platinum and is a little too common. If not osmium, perhaps palladium, eh?
  4. To the original topic: Combat Discipline Combat Reflexes Concentration are my most valued skills Unless I'm building a special use character, I won't pick: Any "General Skill" -- although the above discussion puts alchemy as a possible
  5. High school chem. 39 years ago. Wow -- it's been a long time now that I think about it. And so many new elements discovered (created?) since . . . we're at 118 or some such number now. I just remember that Technetium (is it 42 or 43?) was the only non naturally occurring element that was not transuranic. Perhaps it has been found since. On another note, I would have thought that osmium would have been the metal of choice, rather than niobium, as it is (as far as I recall) the densest metal. To my recollection, there was nothing especially unique about niobium.
  6. Glad I'm not alone. Although I don't play much anymore, I always pumped damage lore and combat reflexes. Two very valuable skills, imo.
  7. just gulp a couple red potions. You'll be fine in no time
  8. yeah, those are the best options -- pull him in real close on shore and attack with fire damage. Only his special attack hurts much, watch for that and be ready with a red. Otherwise he's pretty straightforward
  9. Or take an unusual twist -- Ranged Combat and use a fully socketed Ettol bow. The opponents reduction in physical resistance is absolutely unbelievable, and it only gets better at higher difficulties. Csaszar created this beauty --" Csaszars' Unorthodox Vampire, Melee Vampire Guide" on the Sacred Wiki.
  10. I've been doing s1 again a lot myself -- my uber graphics card has died a couple times, but the on board is way more than s1 needs. And I always did like s1 better than Sacred 2. But MP online is also better than SP alone, so I have a dilemma facing me, too. And not having Ice & Blood, I'm looking at $$$ for a card and the game to rejoin the crew at Dragon Mage. I hate it that financial matters get in the way of life. Vicariously, I follow the Kami thread every week to see whats going down. Love to be there. Maybe when I get that raise in pay that is 4 years overdue.
  11. My avatar was a gift from gogo -- predicated upon my mathematical proclivities
  12. Only one easy answer, although it is only semi-satisfactory -- play SP for a bit.
  13. My 1-hit wood elf had a level 256 explosive arrow x 4 in a combo only reading 1 rune. It was a boss killer combo, so only needed infrequently. By appropriate socketing of +Combat Art etc. ina "combo suit", you could lock in high levels, then change into more suitable gear for normal fighting. I was sorely disappointed with my first combo in Sacred 2 when I sa the level didn't lock in for me. Essentially then, S1 combos allowed very high levels of combat at the price of frequency of use. Of course, as Rotluchs pointed out, you could drink a concentration potion for instant regen if needed.
  14. I run Vista 64 SP1 with no problems -- when my hardware works (bum video card). I don't see that SP2 would break it.
  15. The first time lady P called me 'hun' in game I was taken completely by surprise. I only had the pleasure of meeting her a very few times. P, you are missed by all you ever met. Love and peace to you and your family.
  16. Click with the mouse where you want to go -- and you will move there. The directional keys turn your viewpoint but do not move you (although 'S' does jump you back a bit.)
  17. From my experience, Windows only restarts itself when it encounters an unrecoverable error. You should see some notification of a problem when that happens - in the event log or possibly when restarting it will tell you it did not shut down properly nd offer to start in "Safe" mode.
  18. I've managed to get Gar halfway up the ramps, but he always turns around. How would you get Octo through the cave, though?
  19. Usually the Del key or F1/F2 during the POST will do it on PC. Maybe the Mac too?
  20. At very high levels you really need the extra attack bonus from Ranged. Besides, it unlocks weapon capabilities as well. I almost exclusively play ranged Dryads, and take ranged as one of my last skills - you really don't need it early, but in my opinion, it becomes essential late.
  21. Timo's link sounds right to me. I have a similar problem, but also get the message "nvdddlm driver has stopped responding but has recovered." I moved my card (9800GT) to the second PCI-e 2 slot and the problems are much fewer. I think it is heat, and strongly suspect weak components in the card -- but by gpu temp never went above 61C, which should be fine. Card is now about 4-5 degrees cooler now and very rarely gives any errors, now that it is so much farther away from other heat generating parts.
  22. Ipick this and put 1 point to speed regen. Then place a single Combat Art in a combo. Once other skills are leveled appropriately, I work this up to mastery. But only 1 level until then.
  23. To the initial topic -- maybe you are getting old. I know the movie well, and I'm on the high side of 50 - hehe. But I remember it as a comedy .
  24. I don't think it works, but it only seems reasonable that if both accounts are registered using the same email, then it *should* be possible to link them on the sever and possibly accomplish this.
