The new Sacred 2 CM patch - Now available for Ice & Blood

Just 1 question: is it a new feature the Viperish Disease less than 2 seconds long?

Hi all, I have same question since install CM-0100. I have never played voodoo dryade before that & don't know how works Viperish Disease in original game. I heard that there was some sort of exploit. But now it's really hard to play this character in CM-0100. Can someone tell me, how to change properties of this CA to it's original state without uninstalling CM-0100? I play singleplayer game only & exploit has no importance for me. Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my English)

If u want it back to original state (5 seconds, if I remember correctly) it's not difficult to do: just open spell.txt, find "dr_vo_krankheit" then change entry0 = {"et_duration_sec", 100, 5, 0, 8 }, from 100 to 500, and entry6 = {"et_duration_sec", 150, 2, 2, 8 }, from 150 to 750, AND DON'T FORGET TO BACKUP THIS FILE ANYWAY. That's all I did for the issue. I really don't know whether it's a bug or someone's malevolent intention .

Guys, we've just put in a new link to the CM patch directly on the front page index of Wiki:

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Fallen_Angel

It's currently red, but Munera, I just saw your pre-writeup for all the goodies... very tasty! Anyone who is going to be adding this new index to CM Patch info can easily drop in an index like we did for the Ice and Blood index:

http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Ice_and_Blood

I would think that that kind of a setup or layout would help with having the fans drill down directly to all the new content that the patch has released, as well as giving them an overview.

I will write up a news bulletin on the wiki as well, and this new patch link is right top left, so everyone's gonna see it.

Again, thanks to all the crazy hours everyone has put into this huge accomplishment for the community.

Thank you!

:)

One thing I would recommend doing... Since the CM Patch adds new content in each successive version, and different changes happen in each version - It could be quite helpful if we post what version we found the item or quest for the first time. Maybe do it in a way so that we can see what changes were made in each version.

I realize that may be a bit of a challenge since we're up to version 0100 and there have been numerous prior versions of the CM Patch. Still..

I'm happy to see the brand new CM-section of the wiki. Now I finally know where all the CM-omly quests should belong. I also have a few suggestions about it:

How do you think, whether or not it'd be a good idea to list all the items that were added in CM, at least in red links. I just thought that their names are well-known to the CM-team, so it is possible to list them all even before they would be found in game.

And how about dividing the quest section into three groups: the quests that were fully implemented by CM-team, the quests that were initially in game, yet were not playable until CM-team unlocked them, and the quests that were fixed (links to the existing original quest pages that mention CM-changes in Notes section).

Oh..Btw... Not quite sure how to handle this in the CM Patch section - but there's at least ONE quest that's been removed - at least, from the light side of the quest tree. I don't recall the quest's name - but it doesn't appear to have been added to the regular Wiki.

There's a guy in the merchant's building in Orcish Byway who wants you to follow him to a farm field behind the Runemaster's location. The quest (for the light side, anyhow) ended abruptly without any sort of resolution.

The Dark side questers had a bit more luck. Once you get to the field, the guy tells you some lame story that reveals itself ot be a scam. After which, you tell him to go pound sand, and then you take on another quest - taking a basket out to an orchard to the other quest giver's wife. When you get there, you kill her then go to the cops to frame the yutz who tried to con you. The cops there are like the ones in Sonnenwind - they expect you to do their dirty work. So you go into the Merchant's place and eliminate him, thus closing the case.

The guy is no longer hanging out in the Merchant's place if you're playing for the Light.

Yes, I totally recall this quest. I hate when I can't do something, so this bugged quest really troubled me for a while. I was hoping that this quest would be fixed (I encountered the other quests that ended abruptly in the early versions, yet they were fixed later), yet looks like it was a hard case.

I think that we could create a page for this quest with a text like 'WARNING this quest is bugged. It never ends.' and put a note in the notes section about the fact that due to those bugs that quest was removed in CM. After all, I'm pretty sure that people would try to look for this quest in the wiki just to understand why it behaves so strange in game (at least it's what I'd try to do). So it'd be good to have an explanation of sorts.

By the way, how about movin this discussion to the wiki section? We'd better open a topic about describing CM in the wiki, than continue discussing it in the topic for CM itself.

This quest is fixed. The guy has to appear for dark side players only. This was one of the first fixes after Xmas 2009. The same goes for the god-quests in the human area. You will be sent to that cave to pick up a book - but only, if your char is aligned to forens, so the book will really appear there.

That sounds great dude. I'll try to make those red links blue :D

Btw is there a way to change the gameplay boxes background as they were before? (blue instead of black) I'd like to keep all item pics with the same background.

OK, I'd try to type the set and item names once I return to editing wiki. As for the background, I think the black one makes reading the text on it a bit easier(due to the higher contrast). I think it's nice to have a black background for CM items in wiki. It makes them distinct. It shows that these items are different from the others. Like 'Ice and Blood' marking on the add-on items.

I was just speaking to Munera and Schot about this. The black background for the patch items is actually a change? And there are already items in the wiki from patch that already have the blue background. Schot is saying that perhaps a better idea is to use a new frame for the cm patch items. Kind of like we used for Ice and Blood items. This way we don't have to double our work by backtracking all the work that was already done, but just change the frames. The frames are handsome, very good looking and most importantly distinctive. Munera can use a new frame to distinguish very nicely all CM Patch items from old version items.

The CM Patch is kind of like an add on... the last add on used this frame scheme, and so using it for CM Patch would fit in line with the "sense" of how discernations are being created.

That is reasonable, gogo. It's a good idea to make a distinction other than a background colour. I just wanted to say that there is no need to change the background colour to blue. If I'm not mistaken, black user interface was once a small separate mod. Maybe it was integrated to CM in the latest versions.

Cool... I figured that would be the case.

The point I was trying to make was that the quest still appears in plain vanilla Sacred 2:FA and Sacred 2:Ice and Blood - and as such, probably should be listed in the Wiki proper - perhaps with a note saying the quest(s) no longer appear if they don't apply to you (Light vs Dark, God alignment, etc...)

If you want to know more about those sets, search Mantis for issues #250, #264, #265 and #266. The whole-set pictures may be found in these issues. I'm pretty sure that you've already seen the item names in the translation issues. Item stats are yet to find.

Er...I tried to install the latest version (0100), but it says that my language (english) is not compatible.

Even my russian is fully compatible (exept of some translation issues, of course), strange...

Check your game version, it should be 2.65.1 at least.

Try to reinstall the game completely, I did so due to mods, tweaks, complicated patching history, etc,

the cm-patch definitely dislikes all that kind of stuff.

My version is the latest, but I haven't used any mods. All I've done is make a minor script edit so NPCs can't hurt/kill eachother (for escort quests, mostly).

Hmm, does anyone happen to have a link to the old 0094 version? Maybe I have to disable that, and I kinda deleted my file of it without knowing of the deactivation tool.

Don't know whether this old link is allowed here.

Anyway, my advise - reinstall it from the scratch, it's just another 15 minutes.
