Hey, Knuckles, is your new project about aplying the new quest template and adding the missing images to old quest pages? I just saw your recent edits on the wiki and it really looks like that. If that's right that this project is going to be quite a big one as the quests are very multiple. I was doing quite the same thing some time ago. The difference is that I was aspiring to change all images for the ones of better quality and also edited the text to make a storytelling a bit better. Thus I was doing a lot of work that wasn't adding much to the wiki... which is why I put this project on hold and switched to the pages about new CM content. The thing is that I have quite a lot of pictures that I prepared for the quests but never got to uploading. Maybe I should dust them off and finally upload to the wiki so that you won't have to do the work that is already half-done? I started to gather the images after my character left Sloeford and I have them prepared for most of the quests in the Western Tyr Lysia (west of Thylysium). So if you want me to help you I can take this part of the job.

Nah I put that project on the top shelf for awhile (again)

 

I got to chatting with gogo and he mentioned that a lot of the NPC links were red so I decided to go in that direction. It's a huge project but manageable since it's only one quest at a time. I started with updating the quest pages too and soon realized how long that would take me. So I decided for now just to update the NPC pages.

 

I noticed you have done a lot of the Sloeford ones. Maybe I should go to the human area or something so we don't overlap our efforts here. No hurries on what you got that needs uploading. I know you haven't been feeling well so I don't want you to think I'm waiting on ya.

 

The more I think on it, I'll work on the Human area and check back in several weeks and see how Tyr Lysia is coming along. Again if you want or need any help just let me know. I won't be shy asking if I need some

Got the quests and NPC's done around Black Oaks...hopefully no quest givers are hiding out in caves...didn't think to check them. (and yes now that I thought of it...I will be checking them...I hate not knowing or thinking I might have missed something )

I have to say that is the most ridiculous quest I have ever done. I read that it is virtually impossible, and I have to agree. I ended up completing it with a level 59 ice elf. She finished the Gold campaign several levels ago. I ran this quest on Bronze and one of the two anonymous henchmen still died.

There has been a massive and I mean MASSIVE amount of work again just going in all over the Wiki. Lujate, I was reading through your contributions this morning, nice reads again, and MUST say again thanks to Knuckles jumping back on board, and tackling two HUGE sides of leftover projects of Wiki, Quests and NPC's, the NPC page listing is growing like weeds. I'd always thought NPC's were secret treasure trove of game, and the writeups going in now are infused with some great personality, insight and our traditional Sacred style humor.

Pretty sure I got all the existing quests properly linked unless there are a few that never were linked to anything. Guess I made about 1000 edits Back to Artamark Questing

I don't know how you're doing this Rob, lol, everytime I look at the recent changes page, it's like seeing a cash register spit out a receipt with all the transactions.

 

Quests have taken a huge jump in speed getting done, I think Lujate must be happy you're there helping out with the project.

First off, wow!

 

Was having the thumbnail images link to the full images on purpose? It could be just me, but I clicked on them expecting to get the quest list.

I might figure out how to link the pics so they bring up the quest pages but that's another project I'll get to at some point I just picked out a pic that I felt represented the area nicely from the Places pages.

 

Also The Unholy Crusade chain quest and all NPC's are done along with several chain quests in the Griffinborough area

Wow, that's an amazing job being (or already) done, Knuckles! I can't keep away from the wiki for a couple of months without being back and finding it upside down!

You're really awful guys. I was also taking a look to these quests and there are really cool writeups for them, fantastic job. To say nothing about the NPCs!

 

Btw, I've detected a couple of undone quests in northern Artamark:

* The Wedding Gift (artamark's gate) - located, SP only

* Stop the Golem (orcish byway) - located, SP only

* Rescuing the Leprosy Station (urtak's moxie)

 

Maybe I make writeups for them, if I find some cheap canned free-time!

Zeno, I was going through Artamark looking for all the quests...have done the Black Oaks, Griffinborugh and Kufferath castle areas so far. I haven't gotten to those areas you mentioned quite yet. Just let me know if you're going to do those areas/quests as I'd hate for us both to do them at the same time

 

I have plenty of other areas/projects to do so I don't mind going somewhere else if you want to do them.

 

Edit :TBH I'd really like to clean up all the Thylysium quests...so if you did northern/western Artamark it would work for me...now I just gotta make sure I won't be re-working Silver's area if I go to the Elven capital

I have The Dragon Cult chain quest mostly done. Due to technical difficulties, I came up short some pics. I went back to rerun the quest is Free World and it is not available. I should be through there again next week in Campaign mode and I will run the chain again to fill in the missing pieces. Also, AFAIK, most quests that are not available in Free World are Light/Shadow specific. Does anyone know if The Dragon Cult is available when running Shadow?

In regards to quests in the Swamp, I'd avoid Deadly Blue and the Werewolf escort for Hydra stuff. Deadly blue requires luring specific spiders into a small T-Energy pool in order to get the quest complete. The Werewolf quest does not mark off where Hydras are, so completing it without losing the escort is in my opinion impossible.

The Werewolf quest does not mark off where Hydras are, so completing it without losing the escort is in my opinion impossible.

Escorts are normally crazy and I like to avoid them, but:

"Neither missing quest compasses nor bugged logbooks nor suicidal NPC's nor risk to life and limb stays these wiki-iers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds"

I never even knew there were chain quest pages for the class-specific ones. Are you planning on replacing the individual quest links on the class-specific quest page with links the the chains?

Want to ask gogo on that before I change the links too much...right now they'll list in 'Quest' , 'Class Quest' and 'Chain Quest'. Every character has a class specific ' chain quest. The Shadow Warriors has almost the same path as main quest. I'll be doing all the characters - both shadow and light...Gonna take a bit to do

I think replacing the individual links with the chain quests ones would be a good idea as you get them done.

yeah but the only thing is....it's a chain quest and not a side quest...everywhere else on wiki there's a distinction made between the 2. If it's a side quest then it's not a chain and vice versa. But it's easily fixed whatever we decide to do..Or gogo decides to do

I found that Deadly Blue can be finished if you proceed to the next chapter. There are a number of areas with T-Energy, and you should not have to lure any enemies into those areas.

Curses! I ran the Dragon Cult quest on Silver but came up short a few pics and others had phantom NPC's in the frame. I did the quest again on Gold last night. This time some of the pics are corrupted and cannot be opened. I also have an issue where a thumbnail shows a different pic than it should. In Wantons End, the pic next to the Quick Walkthrough is a camera pic, but the thumbnail shows a Tab Map. How do I fix this?

gogo, we have been looking for you. We have a question regarding the Class Specific Side Quests page. The name of that page is misleading because it has both Side Quests and lists the individual sub-quests beneath the class chain quests. I am wondering if we should replace those sub-quest lists with links to the chain quest pages as Knuckles gets them finished. What do you think?

I have major problems with phantom tga's. So much that I basically look at every one as I take them. Several times I've had to do the same quest on another difficulty to re-take pics. All I can say is check the pics every 2-5 pics taken and only save game if they're good. If you find a bad one exit the game using task manager or something...do not save and exit. That usually works for me.

 

@ Lujate...the pics look fine to me...try forcing a refresh on the page using Ctrl +F5. Looks like you re-uploaded the pic a couple times but your browser is showing you the old pic from it's cache.

I did something wrong and uploaded every pick as the same name and did not receive any warnings. Then when I discovered my mistake and went to upload the correct pic, it warned me that the name was already in use. How weird!?
