Geese eggs actually taste better than chicken eggs if the geese are living free. Grandma was 16, close to 17, at the end of WW2. She wanted to study medicine and had to work as a nurse in a hospital. She was send into an army hospital at the eastern front. The army got trapped at the coast of the baltic sea. She needed half a year to return, fleeing over the frozen sea, hiding in forests, living from the surroundings. She was a living lexicon about plants. When we were young she taught us how to make tasty meals from vegs and mushrooms: young nettles, dandelions, sorrel, ... She always feared another war without supply for the people. wild rice -> hoovercraft There was a rice farm in our state which used a hoovercraft for sewing and controlling the rice.
