chattius 2,531
At the birthday of my brother's wife: 'Sunshine of your love'. My brother played e-guitar in a punk band at school and he grapped it as a surprise. I was even more surprised when my daughters grapped their hidden instruments too. Answering to the idiotic and questioning look I must have had, my brother said: Sorry. the arrangement doesn't include a tuba and I know how bad you sing -which is actually the reason I play the tuba Not as good as the original, but we had a lot of fun. Here the fantastic original but less good than yesterday version Link to comment

Gilberticus 374
well, two more , too, so I guess I've had nine constant songs in my head since I was a teen: Edited March 12, 2014 by Gilberticus 1 Link to comment
Flix 5,116
I love that breakdown in Neurotica at 0:37. Also..HOLY DIVAH! You've been down too long in the midnight seaaaa.... Link to comment
Gilberticus 374
Neurotica is by far my favorite song by Meshuggah. As far as Dio, I tried to listen to the cover, by that band....... Switchkill something or something,......but it's just not the same. Idk why, maybe I'm too much of an 80s child Link to comment
Aegis 256
Killswitch Engage, and I do like their cover as much as I like the original from Dio. In fact, I was impressed at how faithful their version was while still putting their own sound into it, hence why I enjoy it so much. Kinda like how I liked listening to Far's version of Pony. ;p Jump, jump, jump on the tiger. Edited March 13, 2014 by Aegis 1 Link to comment
Gilberticus 374
I don't like Killsaitch Engage at all but it could have been worse; Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus or Justin Timberlake could have tried to do the cover ::shudder, puke:: Link to comment
Aegis 256
And somehow this line of thought reminds me of Britney's take on Bobby Brown's Prerogative. Link to comment
wolfie2kX 528
And now for something completely different... Yes.. Hatebeak - the death metal band that's fronted by a 25 year old African Gray Parrot.. Link to comment
Aegis 256
You're right. That is completely different. Meanwhile, I really need to stop listening to this soundtrack for a bit. Unhealthy obsession here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIRlueNEeQo Link to comment

Aegis 256
Well, having listened to Dead Sara's cover of Heart Shaped Box, I ended up listening to their other songs. This one is my current obsession: Link to comment

Delta! 987
I am still listening to lots of songs covered by the actors in Glee, and so many of them that I like the Glee version more than the original. I also got some Little Mix songs, Icona Pop, James Arthur, and I tried to buy(but the local music store didn't have it) Lea Michele's album, Louder. a good voice to listen to. Delta! Link to comment
Flix 5,116
This was definitely Therion's peak. I'm so glad they got this concert recorded - might be my favorite live album of all time. 1 Link to comment
Aegis 256
If not for E3 and Hideo Kojima, I would never have known this song and the album it came from exist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zasIogAV-tY Link to comment
Flix 5,116
Greek/Swedish melodeath metal band Nightrage. This album has been on repeat on my playlist for days. I didn't really like the singer's main band At the Gates but the Gothenburg-style metal on this album is top notch headbanging stuff. Link to comment
