I have to tell you: thanks a lot, this brings sacred2 to a new life. One question: The set and items you unlocked were all designed for the game or you added them Link to comment
colif 36 Posted May 18, 2010 Share Posted May 18, 2010 It loaded so fast I didn't believe it had worked at first, then the red text and new start showed it had. Then I got: which was unexpected but its nice they swapped the weapon skill to swords. Now just to get mastery. Link to comment

Yes, the original Fisted Weapon Lore is still there in the deep codes of the game, but it doesn't work. (I added it to a toon, but it does not grant any bonuses or calculate anything properly...so I switched it to swordlore.) One question: The set and items you unlocked were all designed for the game or you added them ? The items were already there, I just added the Boni and made them droppable/useable. I had never seen Burning liquid before so I assume that was in game somewhere but not an active drop? I assume you didn't change the colour of Niokaste's set as I am sure it was bluer than it is now. I have noticed that the focus still doesn't update on most quests in that once you do a part of a quest, it doesn't automatically link to next part - this was a bug with Ice and Blood so it is not your fault Link to comment

Tried it out a bit, and the only thingy I found was that the Cursed Forest Main quest bugged out for me. Attack from the mist doesn't complete. nomad13 2 Posted May 18, 2010 Share Posted May 18, 2010 I had some weird bug while fighting against the 1st Mist, I had my speed reduced to 50% permanently after I defeated I reseted the game and everything was fine. It says that he does only ice damage but I was getting damage from the mobs of undead and my health was going down quickly even using some Ice relics with around 168 armor, maybe my char was a bit low on armor. For the Tutorial: Hirelings quest, after I go into the pirate cave and kill all the pirates, the quest log says the quest is done, and doesn't give me the chance to escort the two other soldiers back outside (I.e. they don't have a white exclamation point above their heads, so I'm forced to stay with the hireling). Has anyone else noticed this? Link to comment
Spunky 16 Posted May 19, 2010 Share Posted May 19, 2010 Been awhile since I've done that quest now, but I think you need to kill all the pirates/sailors?, and pick up some map before you'll get the chance to escort them out. Don't quote me on that though as I'm probably mixing some quests up here. Link to comment

The first is for Tutorial: Hirelings and involves killing all the pirates in the cave, then escorting the soldiers back out. The second is finding the map, and then killing the pirate with a metal nose (?) on a cliff. Link to comment

On the Mist: I tried to mod the Fogmonster-Boss a bit, so that he actually uses all his combat-arts on the Character and not only some selected ones. Also I wanted him to strike harder, and speed the whole fight up a bit, for which I increased the number of undead he spawns slightly and at the same time at higher Life-cost and cooldown. There may be an error with the moving and attackspeed modifying debuffs on him, which I experienced myself when I did a new spell for another Boss we want to implement. I think I can fix this disturbing endless slowdown. If he doesn't complete the summoning until he is dead, I would very much like to have the savegame, to check up on where he is stuck then. The same goes to the quest related issues, a savegame immedeately before the quest is accepted would be best, but we will settle for an unfinished stuck one if that's not available. (I do not meddle with the quests personally, this is marcus' job.) You are of course invited to report such bugs over at our bugtracker: http://www.frankrentmeister.info/mantisbt/ Just register (don't worry it's free of course ), you can upload the savegames there too. Since the last hotfix 2.65.2 some behaviours have changed. http://www.frankrentmeister.info/mantisbt/view.php?id=136 For the records: You enter the cove with one hireling. There are 5 pirates to be defeated before the other two soldiers join the group. All three should leave as soon as you report outside the cove. For now: Exactly as cloudblade70 has described. Has anyone else noticed this? I experienced the same issue yesterday, and I wondered why those two soldiers didn't follow me outside the cave (like they were supposed to do, I guess). I didn't had the problem with the hireling sticking with my Seraphim, because he happened to... perish in the cave. Ouch. Anyway, you have to remember that I am playing the game the very first time (I actually installed it, the Gold version, just the day before), and I already knew that it is ridden with bugs. This is my first posting, but I have been lurking here for some time. I got interested of Sacred 2 a couple of months ago, but I decided to actually buy it after I had played through Diablo II, my old love, and I just had to play something similar while waiting for Diablo III. The wait will be long indeed, but I think I will enjoy the months in Ancaria... Many thanks for the community patch. Your work is much appreciated. Link to comment

I simply can't understand why this minor changes caused such an error. And there are three further quests with such changes in v0070, so I'll have to review them again.
