Timotheus 416
I just killed my highest Sacred 2 char, a level 48 Dryad, in combat with Garganthropod. All that's left on my slots now, is a level 5 HE I got hit by the tiniest amount of lag just after he attacked me with some of his minions. Normally it wouldn't really have been a problem but that bugger got a hit in, quite a strong one too and a defensive spell ran out. The lag prevented me from casting the spell again and pressing space did not work. Next I saw was a dead char. So far, G has claimed 2 deaths, random stupidity and bad luck claimed about 10 Edited February 26, 2009 by gogoblender Link to comment

Timotheus 416
And to think that I was getting surprised with how well this gal was handling herself... But I made some wrong skill choices so I knew it was a dead-end path somewhere sometime Link to comment
Flooxim 49
I lost like....7 or 8 chars as of today. Some of them died because of lag, some died because of bad luck (level 19 enemies outside of Sloeford with level 4 kobolds). Some of them were not good enough (I didn't have a solid build for a few characters, so I don't care if they died). All of them died at level under 20, so it's never a big loss. But if my Pyro HE dies (She's level 65 and kicking *****), now I'll be really mad. Max Link to comment
gial 2
For a couple weeks there, I was the vitamin man - losing "One a Day" - hehe I have trouble telling the bad skellies from the easy ones on the road to the wall. Sometimes I encounter 6 or 8 at once, and bang - they're gone. Other times only 2 or three and bang - I'm gone. I can't blame lag, but I sure hate the Spacebar-red flash-death sequence. Putrescine 11
My most memorable losses will have to be my 132 Dryad, who got a double hit from the Christmas Hydra... Each hit drained 18k damage from me, and I only had 19k hp in total. And there's also my level 65 HE Pyro who died recently from 4-5 TG fire bombs who fell on her at the same time, giving be about 1.3 secs to change relics and spam HP pots. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,071
Timo, I'm sorry to hear about the loss. But I'm excited to hear you were trying out a Dryad. If you're thinking to start her over again, meet up on the servers with us. Just yesterday evening, about six [D.a.r.k]s just like that all ended up playing together. lol, there's so many of us now it's like a mini-kamikaze I love the Dryad. But I especially love her when she has the leech going on her Darting Assault. Was this the type of Dryad you were working with? When you finally get her going to about level 60, the DA combat Art is a pure rush, I sometimes just hang with the plat girl just to see it firing and mowing down stuff. If you're going to start over again, I can give you early level pipes, runes, gold etc. Plus, I have good early level sets, and the Christmas Set low level for Dryad from the last Kami. Least this way you'll have a lot of pieces with silver gold sockets, and with that you can power your way to higher levels. Erling, I'm glad to hear you're playing with peeps again. Yeah, I enjoy this game solo, but playing with friends, especially in a group that's actually in one party, is the keeper. Cheers gogo Link to comment
Timotheus 416
She was a nature/hunter build, but took the lore skill of nature instead of the focus (or the other way around, I was only using nature defensive/buff but got the damage skill) anyway, just after level 40, she became a bit easier to play. I pumped runes into the skills waaay too much (only skills that need runes are the buffs/defensive ones anyway) and was still figuring out where she needed to go. Before I lost her, I just finished the christmas quest for the first time and went out for my mount. So yeah, there were a few things that sucked. Not the lost gear though, she was in desparate need of new gear anyway. So yeah I might be starting again... The Dryad totally pwnd in the first levels as a tank type char, shield+sword combo, at least it seemed like that to me. However, I found her to be quite hard to start with in the CA category. No ideas on a new build, or when I might be starting one. I'm getting a "new pc" in the following days and I will be doing some messing around with that first, very curious whether I can get a low-budget/low-power-use office pc going. Expect a write-up on that next week. Edited February 26, 2009 by Timotheus Link to comment
gogoblender 3,071
Looking forward to the writeup. Your essays on equipment are always great reads, informative, and they helped me put my last comp together. Here's my build btw for my Dryad DA that's in Plat level 130. With lots of feedback from Put and Zin, it's easy to run, and very, very satisfying to play. She's built to level up in Swamps, mostly a mob killer, and can shoot out any mob from a distance no prob. Here's her stats naked, all her gears on the dryad trader 120 now. I used Dex for the first 50 levels or so just for that extra damage, significant def increase and chance to hit...then switched all attribute points entirely to Stamina after that. Level 66 Darting Assault running at .6 seconds regen. I only like playing her if she's got leech going. They're like cool tracers, and I can't get enough of the animation...almost makes it look like a magical build. gogo Link to comment

Knuckles 904
Sigh... Was making another explorer and had SV buffed so I never thought twice about going afk anyhwere in-game. Well had the Lizardman Companion from Main Quest in the jungle. He decided to roam around and I guess I got a few fire traps dropped near me. When I came back to game I was at the character screen with a big fat red skull next to his name. 400+ quests done too Link to comment

Rotluchs 82
d'oh! shame on me, I aint got it anymore what it takes to survive in Ice and Blood hc I guess.. there, I spent 'only' a bit more than 6 months in absence, and hit the servers tonight just to get rid of all that dust that gathered on my chars+accounts.. before I left I had deleted most of my chars and gave away all shiny stuff, so nothing much left in inventory that would need some polishing.. only chars I found left on my 2 Ice and Blood accounts (for the others, I aint got no Ice and Blood keys yet) were a ~lvl69 Shadow Warrior campaign runner and my level 177 shopping dryad.. which I lost both tonight okay, the first that bit dust was my Shadow Warrior, and I must have just fallen into oblivion, as I forgot that even when you're veiled, you're 'not' invulnerable in party so, without any defensive skills or equip, I got 1h killed by carnach.. (darn^^ well I decided to laugh about my own stupidity down there instead of tearing my hair, maybe I had also just fallen asleep already.. been late, alright..) well, anyways.. so I decided to move to the other acc and the dryad.. went out to my fav hunting grounds, not knowing that it would be for the very last time.. however, this time I don't really have any explanation for what was going on in the desert there, got hit once suddenly, down to like 5% health.. healing pot - restored.. 2nd hit, rip.. huh ? well, I've heard about those Ice and Blood stories.. but had to experience it myself to believe it.. so long, ripping saved me from deleting them manually.. don't miss the dryad much, just the nice stuff she had.. glad I still have here trading equip, although I seem like I can't remember how to do this game the proper way, I didn't forget to put it in the global stash, phew.. -epic fail- Edited January 24, 2010 by Rotluchs Link to comment
Barristan 14
Heya, sorry Rotluchs Hope you'll start some new toons and play some more... Ice and Blood has its odds and quirks, but most times its good. Guess you don't have a toon to attend my 200 party now eh These insta-rips are bad.... still NO idea whatsoever what causes it... seems it can happen to any toon at any given time. I remember one with a Dragon Mage.... fortunately he was trown from his mount and survived with 1 HP... the mount died ofc. I deleted him a while later... just to be sure. Anyways, hope to see you on servers. Greetz Link to comment
Knuckles 904
Oh man Rotty, what a way to come back to playing At least they were toons you were planning on deleting anyways. But losing all that gear had to hurt Link to comment
