Back when original Sacred 2 Fallen Angel was released, a set of high-resolution textures was separately sold, dubbed "Elite Textures". It added extra detail to many items, NPCs, monsters, landscapes, architecture and misc. objects in the game. It also added, sometimes unbearable, lags in crowded places, like cities. The mechanics of said lags is as follows: when "Default" texture option is on, the RAM cache assigned to the game is 210MB by default, when "Elite" texture option is on the RAM cache assigned is 420MB maximum. Another chunk of the CM 1.60 Changelog. Text and UI Fixes The GUI background is now less transparent so that text is easier to read. Grunwald, Swamp, Desert, and Girvym Dragons now display correct names in the "Last Opponent" window. Hello guys and girlz! I'm playing sacred with CM160, decided to return to that good old game. But what strikes me is that, unlike EE and Addendum, there's a lot of portal names on the map in big tables. And they cover a lot of space so that u can't see lots of things. Is there any way to fix it I.e. to make it the same way it is in Addendum/EE? Spoiler Hope you're all doing fine and have some good winter days! and - thanks for the answer!

After being absent from Sacred 2 for quite some time, I recently picked the game up again. One of the reasons why I abandonned it, was because I had 3 characters at near same levels running in the same area in Gold. And trust me, when seeing the same part of sand for the third time when leveling another character, things do get boring. Anyway, I decided to focus at my pyromancer HE for now, as she's also my shopper and therefore would be able to support the other characters later on. I do not have the new Beta. Although I've played this game for many years this is the highest level I've gotten to. Is it normal to repeat levels above 60 when playing Silver? If this isn't normal is there a fix? Also, and this just started about a week ago, the enemy are visible, but don't show up right away on the map as the red triangles. I'm playing the HE character and used the guide in the Wiki for Ice and Blood Pyro and have never leveled up so fast. Level 61 (really 63) in the Lizard land swamp area. Is it possible Steam pushed some update?

I'm playing Sacred 2 with the Community Patch quite a while and randomly got one skill and one attribute point every once in a while. I haven't really cared about this but out of curiosity I searched the wiki pages. After God knows how many years now I learned it is the Ancaria Airlines (and an other one) quest that give those points. Learning those I made a backup of my save and checked how it works during LAN and I have to say it is possible to infinitely repeat the quest and practically have access to infinite amount of points. "So what exactly does the Community Patch do?" I seem to hear more and more comments from players like "I don't think I need this to enjoy the game," "not sure this mod is really doing anything," and the ever popular "this mod sucks." I've been able to play Sacred Gold thanks to your patch on Windows 10, I've switched to Windows 11 and when I launch the game I get a black screen and have to restart the PC as before, are you working on this, or does anyone have an idea on how to make this game work that I love so much? I just came back to Sacred 2 after a long absence and downloaded the latest CM Patch 160, however I can't install it. It keeps coming up with error can't delete AdhocAPI.dll file. I tried moving the offending file to another folder to see if that will allow it to finish installing but it does no good. It seems to have an issue with every .dll file in the game's System folder. I am trying to install it to the latest version of Sacred 2 from GoG, the "Win10 compatible" version. Can anyone help me here please?

Hello all The quest "Ancient Secrets" (lost diaries) was integrated in 2011 with CPatch version v0110. At that time the 4 books had no content... were called book 1, book 2 etc. Then in 2018 with CP v0160 the texts were added. My question: Where did you get the historical content? (Should the topic be wrong here you can move it with pleasure)

We can add the ability to stack runes. Doing so will save inventory space. EDIT: Read the whole thread to see how all my original arguments for voting NO were set aside due to coding developments. In the end, I too voted YES. As such, I left my original arguments for the sake of clarity, but crossed it out to indicate that the downsides to rune stacking were overcome in the end. But, it will also make the bonuses on all runes in the stack identical. I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature," otherwise I'd submit it as a bug report. With the community patch installed, my game works great. Runs well, never crashes. . . and all the awesome phys-x leaves and pebbles are gone, despite phys-x being checked as on in my options. I've googled it and haven't found an answer. Is the community patch supposed to disable PhysX? If it does, why? And can I re-enable phys-x somehow without throwing out the rest of the patch? To be clear I'm using CM patch 1.6 beta. I havent play sacred for years, but I thought about coming back. All this mods and work is amazing, but I saw that the comunity patch makes averything scale at your level everywhere only based on your difficulty. I understand that this is for multiplayer stuff, but not really for me. So is ther a way to have every zone with their min and max level as normal but still have all the fancy stuff for the community patch? Also if someone knows about a mod that makes enemies level static or a way to change it, I'd love it. Thank you sweeties

No bugs, no issues. My laptop is just slow enough to not run much beside D3 or Sacred 2, which is enough for my student self among some strategy games. However... before the patch and addendum, the game would frequently lag. Badly enough to not complete quests in the cities, since they cause it. (Specifically, the ground. Invinsible triangles and the like. Textures would just dis- and reappear.) This issue is thankfully gone. But, well. I read the texture pack could cause lag, worst of all in the cities.
